Car wont start

During the hot weather my car just wont start. Ill drive about 20 miles to work then park my car in a scorching parking lot for 8 hours. When its time to leave, the car just wont start. You can hear it trying to turn over but just wont turn all the way over (if that makes sense). I can wait about 30 minutes and it will start up no problem at all. Does anyone have any clue of whats going on? Please help.

Sounds like your main fuel relay needs to be replaced. Do a quick search and you should see plenty of threads regarding this problem. Should be an easy fix...

resolder it and install. If it works, great, if not, your other choice is Fuel Pressure Regulator and that isn't so cheap....

What he said. The solder points can look good, really like new, but still be faulty.

I didnt feel like soldering today. Its 103 out and inside a car is not my favorite. Went to honda and got a new relay, its about an inch bigger but still works. Hopefully this will work.

Cool, I think they changed the design because of this issue but never really said anything about it. Hold onto the old one and solder it when you have a chance so you have a backup.

Was your issue fixed by changing the main fuel relay? I've had this issue a couple of times. Not necessarily on a hot day but I wasn't able to start it at all during one hot day in San Diego. I came back home 4 hours later and the car started up just fine. It definitely sounds like a fuel issue. I'm wondering if I need to change the fuel filter.

more than likely you are experiencing the same issue. I would repair/replace your main relay first as it is a very common issue. Tip - Often hitting it will make it work temporarily.
