got the horns matched while still on.
tonight they will come off so I can finish out the tubes, polish everything up and get this thing back together tonight.

it's not done in this pic but,the whole front inlet and chamber is completed too.
gasket will be here tomorrow for the fuel injector base.
then I can match the lfuel injector base to the head and it's time to reinstall.
Hopefully it's done soon

here's the before.
You can see the lips in the tops of the tubes. They were so sharp if you try to rub you hand across it,you hand would come to a stop.
That couldn't be good for flow.
The botoms are offset the other way.
A little grinding and it's beter than new.

This stuff is all done except flaring open the intake side of the heads.
Then it should be going on by this weekend, hopefully.

I bought some semi gloss black hi temp paint and was thinking of painting the top cover, plenums, spacer and lower runners.I kinda want flat black now.
I was going to polish everything but, hell no.
I got to much time into this stuff already. Not too metion my hands have been taking alot of abuse hand rubbing.

Any body got any idea's for painting my pieces ?

Since I have a little time before I can install do to a broken fuel injector and waiting on some bolts to change out those dam studs I started preping the plenums.
I sanded one to 320 and it brought out a nice shine.
I have taken it to 600 for now,not perfect.
should I paint them or I'm thinking I will polish them out all the way now.

should I polish them or paint them ?

Go 1000, then 2000 grit, then polish it with some Mothers Aluminum Polish. Thats what I did with my headlight shrouds. Came out shiny as hell.

This is what it looked like:

This is what it looks like:

And yes, it was originally that color. I sanded with 400 grit, 800, 1000, and 2000 following by polishing with Mothers Aluminum Polish. I did it by hand first, but them switched to the Dremel with a polishing attachment.

those came out sweet.

I polished them after the 600 to see what I had and they look good but to 2000 they will almost look like chrome.

It's going to look killer.

I'm going to polish the plenums, the top cover, and the mdx spacer.
And paint the manifold body and lower runners black.

I stayed with the clp manifold to try to get it to fit with the spacer.
I also did not get the p2r manifold gasket, trying to get it to fit first.
