u must not have seen what i quoted. im laughing at your supposed 150 passes at the track when just last month you posted that you had about 70 runs in morgans thread. 60 runs in one month is pretty sick man

not to mention all this talk about running these incredible times with your amazing launch. if you go to the track that much then why haven't you taken it down the 1/4 yet?

Here man, less then 2 hours away and right up your alley for Drag Racing!

http://www.bparkraceway.com/drag/

This way you don't have to worry about totaling another CLS-6!

On a real note though you can check the 1/4 mile in Pomona CA. Just under 2 hours away for someone with a heavy foot and radar detector. I've been to many events there over the last 28 years. Then there is Irwindale also but a little further away. I don't know if Pomona has a street car race night, like a friday night drag or not. You'll have to check. But it is the closest 1/4 I can think of to you. Fontana has one too.

Fontana is the track that I am going to race at. I just got my headers in and will hopefully get them installed next week. Then I'm going to get my timing belt service done and have them install my underdrive pulley at the same time. THEN it's 1/4 mile time. It's a long drive and I just want to do it once and get into the 13's at the same time. I'm more or less preparing for it

For the record, I never said that word. I refuse to. Its derogatory.

My post was a (poor) play on words and I think Jake took me seriously.

I dont want to let what happened in my thread pour over into RPs thread. I dont know why I said anything in the first place.

you could have used "homosexual comments" instead of the "f" one

which as civic even said is derogatory when you use the "f" one

Not right away but,I will. I am not sure if I'm going to try to reduce compression a little for the nitrous or if I want to raise compression for all motor no nitrous.
Possibly piston, headgasket, combustion chamber work to get everything where I finally figure where I want it.
I would imagine it will be built, tuned, broken in,retune once once broken in ready to beat.
Then,I will be adding some.
Not sure how much but the nitrous will be atemped after everything is Aok.
Not in a rush to build a grenade.
If by next spring It's fully built and broken in I will be happy

You know what it is.

I talk to the shop about the heads and they can do everything.
I ask if they could figure out what the compression would be exactly of the build and they said no problem, just bring your parts.I also asked about rasing compression and they said they can get it to what ever I want.
They have me sold on words I might let them get me figured up.
I want the most out of the build.

He kept asking me what cams I was wanting to use.
But I don't have a answer for him yet.
What options do we have ?

at least you are setting a realistic time line for having it complete

but yeah part of the reason for everybody only doing 3.6's is maintaining enough wall strength, for what they may do down the line as far as spray or boost

and it's the timing belt end of the block for the picture (and i would keep that plastic around, so whenever you are not working on it, it can be covered)

the wd helps to keep the cast iron cylinders liners from rusting, so 3-4 weeks is reasonable

and the bag, i would say more to keep out the dust and shit out of it, so it stays clean, and nothing gets into it dirt wise and such

edit: i would still cover that block up whenever you are not working on it, again to keep any shit out of it

use the 07 Tl-s cams btw. they are short so you will need a shim on one end. the shop will know how much to shim.

anyone ever consider sending the crank out to get knife edged and a little cryo treatment?

I would also get it lightened as much as possible as well as the oil holes cut with a bevel. Chaffed I think they call it?

They can remove material by drilling holes in the counter weights. Should not effect durability. Also see about a very good balacing. Don't know what the oem tolerance is but might be able to make it better.

I have been thinking about lighten and balancing the crank.
Depending on the cost.
I know kms does the whole sha bang for 465.
Mabye the shop I been to can do something a little more affordable.
