Possible New Mod??
SO u think a accord can beat a mustang GT?
Everywhere i read said 1/4 for accords are 14.5 and mustang gt's are 13.8
how are you guys beating mustang gt's?
Unless like i said they dont know u are racing them u have no shot..
Our cars are not that quick altima 3.5's are faster tehn our cars and accords!
Like I said most the people prob dont realize u r racing them!

Just because some GTs have run 13.8, that doesn't mean every driver or every GT will run 13.8, and since 14.5 is only 7/10ths difference . . . anything is possible. So I can buy him beating the cars he claims.
So back to the thread . . . let's get this mod proved some more . . . I'd love to do it as well as I think high 13s are in my grasp.

Hey civic how much is the dyno running you? I've been trying to get a dyno day going but noone seems interested on this end. Depending on where you go and how much its running you I have at least 3 people (inlcuding myself) willing to go with you to maybe lower the price. (group rate thing)
Anyone else going to jump on this mod?

Lol! Yea, it was all for the gas mileage.
I have beating the sh!t out of the car since I got it back on the road, and Im still pulling 400miles out of a 15 gallon fillup. So its holding steady at 26.5mpg mixed, which is unchanged from the old manifold. The official gas mileage results will be posted Friday night or saturday after my 9 hour commute

The best i ever got was like 360 B4 the light came on and that was 95% highway (atlantic city and back) but i always average 280-320 B4 the light comes one w/super gas. Thats 70%Hwy maybee it was my transmission not getting enough ATF flowing through it, we will see now i just filled up 2day!
U always get 400 to a tank or is that once in awile, how much of it is HWY!?
lets get back on topic...i just wana know if this mod works or not...man i dont think i can wait anymore..i think im gona go in my garage and start working on my car that i havent started in a year..lol...and do this mod just so i know if it has gains
$55 each session with AFR readings. Im having it done in Chesapeake, at All Aspects. I was working out there for awhile and thats where I got the baseline done, now Im not working out there as steadily which sucks
But next week Ive got work out that way so Im going to stop by and do some runs.

I'm sure you could
Wait until the spring and you can help me do it!

I just got back from Charlotte not too long ago. I left my house with 37 miles on the odometer, got into Charlotte, did what I needed to do and got into Durham before the light came on, which came to 420.1 miles on...
(drumroll please)
13.669 gallons which came to just under 31mpgs. I actually gained MPGs doing this swap.
The entire trip was with the a/c on, doing between 65 and 85, and it was 90 degrees out. I stopped a total of 5 times (turning car off and back on) including when I got pulled over in Durham.
No ticket though, so Ill be back out in Chesapeake next week so the long overdue dyno graphs will be posted.
What TB are you going to use?? So are you not using the P2R adapter??
Are you porting the manifold out to 90mm or is your tb tappered?
that's my thoughts as well. doesn't look like any major modifications. just wanted to comfirm with the guys that had already done this project.
Wilson 90mm that i had on my h22 and im making my own adapter
stock manifold for now im gona port the intake on the TB side to fit the TB

All that work on your TB for less than 1 hp. Try doing some flow calculations; pressure drop through a pipe, etc. It is not very much restriction from a 6mm difference in diameter. Our TB was slightly oversized for the power to begin with.
lol too much too list..but
Head:
full ferrea valve train
2mm titanium intake oversized valves
1mm oversized exhast valves
Ferrea Roller Rockers
AEM Cam Gears
Custum Crane Cams
Magnus Motorsports Intake Race Manifold
Wilson 90mmTB
440 RC injectors
Hy-Tech Header (race)
40hrs of porting got it to flow 321cfm's on the flow bench
with 105mm TB and 313 with 90mmTB
Block:
H22a(JDM)
97mm F23 Honda Crank knife edge and balanced
Balance Shafts eliminated
88mm 14.5 Wiseco pistons
Pauter Rods
LA Sleeves
motor made 282.85whp 203.50TQ
car went 11.4....best MPH was 123....CRX weighed with me in it 2200lbs
the car has alot more in it...but i decided to part it out since im now consentrating on the J32 motor

I dont mind you going off topic. I love EFs. I had an 88 hatch and now have a 90 hatch, fully stripped and caged. Im waiting to get it painted, but when Im about to do it, something always comes up for sale for the CL
My very first car, goddamn I miss that thing. The pic sucks, but whatever. I had a D15b in there and an Si tranny. It held its own for what it was. It kept up with my brothers (and later my) 94 Prelude VTEC. It was really fun in the twisties.

I dont have any pics of my other hatch, but my goal is to get into the high 11s, low 12s with a mild build (mainly head work).
Were you running an H2B kit in that CRX?

WTF?!? Who the hell was that guy??? lol well he's banned now.. back on topic..err off topic.. I'm helping a friend of mine with his ED.. thinking of going F22 turbo in his.. he's got a d15b with an SI tranny in it now...BTW, when are you dynoing this??? I'm sooo tempted to do this!!
Dynos coming later this week when I make my way out to Chesapeake.
Im running a ClutchMaster stage 4 clutch with lightweight flywheel in my Civic.
I know a guy who had (maybe still has, I dont know) an f22 with a D series tranny. He turbo'd it. His entire build cost somewhere in the $4k range and he runs 11s. He admittedly sucks at driving to, the car has the potential to crack 10s. Its a street car too. He used to have a built D16 turbo running low 12s. He loved them because the total build cost him $3k and if he blew the motor, oh well its a cheap motor.
I like the F22s because if you glance really quickly you think its just a regular D series. The H looks like a B too if you look really quickly. Obviously the distributor location is the tell tale sign that it isnt a B.
Man, I miss working on those cars. They were so damn simple. I had my 88 converted to OBD1, so if I had a CEL, I just flipped a switch in my glove box and read the code on the dash. The 90 will have a laptop hooked up to it, so I can get real time data as well as data logging. I cant wait to get it back on the road. I miss having a light, flickable car that was retarded easy to work on.

I look like this.

Anyway I'm just joking around, Civic I appreciate everything your doing with this and can't wait to see the actual numbers
.
Rajca hope your alright bro that's alot of lbs to lose. Pumping weights maybe?
