Possible New Mod??
Better late then never, but:
For the CL-P you dont have an IMRC, so you'll need an RPM activated switch. Just look at the wiring diagram posted for the new TL IMRC motor and run your wires to that. As far as wiring up the RPM switch, I cant help you there.
The manifold isnt made of plastic, its Magnesium. It will hold up to spray just fine. As far as all the hardware install is concerned, just follow the DIY.
BTW, I just remembered that I was supposed to get the height of the manifold for you

yea I called them cuz the site had the same part listed at 188 then 207.
so I asked them the differance and they said it was a error. If I ordered it they would have to stand behind it.They might of changed it by now.
Also they said that there was only like 3 left.

Yea, when E30 and myself ordered ours we had to wait quite a while. I was told there were 3 left in the country as well. That must be all they keep on hand as far as replacements go.
Sweet!
No, its the clutch I want, so Im going to wait it out. They told me last Wednesday that it was on BO for 2 weeks. I hope that estimate is correct.
My other option would have cost me the same amount, so I decided against it.

Update:
The engine is currently being rebuilt.
First issue to come up - metal chunks in the tranny fluid. The tranny has always been notchy seen I bought the car. My brothers brand new Accord did the same thing, so I thought it was just the normal J series 6MT. Ive also had some high rpm 1-2 shift grinds, so the synchros are probably toast. So now the tranny is being rebuilt.
Second issue - I found out why I was having idle issues.
One of the bolts holding the rear dampener bracket to the motor backed out completely (dont know how). When the motor torqued back and forth, it moved more then usual due to the dampener not being able to do its job.
That caused the ECU to step in and try to adjust the front mount.
The problem was, when I poly-filled my mounts, I forgot to connect the vacuum line to it
So, in short, Im a fucking retard that caused a vacuum leak because I forgot to do something.
MORAL OF THE STORY - Make sure the front mount vacuum line is connected properly if you suspect a vacuum leak.
That would explain the loss of power, plus my spark plugs were total shit. As I said, the motor is getting rebuilt, along with the motor. I should have it back sometime next week, and it should be better then new.

Lol.
More info tonight on my motor:
-Block is pretty good, needs a slight rehone
-Cylinder 4 had a spark plug lose (my bad!)
-Spark plugs had purple specs on them, indicating heavy fuel additives even though Ive never run any during my ownership
-Cams are shot
-2 rockers are broken
Seeing all the issues with this engine and then looking at the power it made, Im actually quite impressed. It held its own against other cars that probably should have beaten it (and some have), but overall I am quite proud of it.
It makes me wonder what sort of power I couldve made if the motor was healthy....
More updates as they come in, along with more info on the build once its complete and back at home.

u need cams? i have a used set.

Any lobes have flating at the peaks ?
I'm so jealous! ....of your build, not all the crap that was found. I think i may have an idea of what you're doing. The worst part of it will be breaking the motor in! Not being able to get on it for a bit!
I have the build i want to do all priced out (what i think it'll cost). But seeing the things Paul is finding makes me think i should have much more saved "just in case".

Lol, yea. Its turning into a case of "damn, Im glad I work all this OT"
He tore the tranny apart today.
There was a bearing on the countershaft that had excessive play, it caused the second gear synchro to break a tooth and the tooth would get jammed in the gear and cause my grinding. So that synchro and gear needs replacing.
There was a retainer (IIRC) for third gear that had excessive play in it and needs to be replaced. Hes also replacing the diff bearings as those are pretty worn as well.
Now, because we are talking about Honda, they only sell the synchros, shims and retainers in packages. Those packages consist largely of the gearsets. The least expensive gearset runs $264. Ive got to replace the 1-2 and the 3-4 gearsets. So about $800 worth of parts when you add in all the seals and the diff bearings.
Needless to say, Im having him do it, as I dont want to tear back into this thing should the problem get worse. He said hes trying to get the car done this weekend, but Im fine with picking it up as late as Wednesday. I know he's got more cars to do though, so he probably doesnt want to keep the car too long.
And yea, the break in period is going to be torturous. Ive got to somehow manage 500 miles of stop and go driving when my entire commute consists of highways.
I guess Ill drive around the block 5 or 6 hundred times.
Then Ive also got to wait to break the motor in, which is even longer
