Possible New Mod??
shit i think i got the wrong intake manifold the tb adapter isnt lining up
and i measured the opening for the tb its about 68mm
and from what i read before i thought the 09 3.7l tl had 80mm opening
i ordered part number 17160-rk2-a00... can someone tell me is this really the part number for the 3.7.
damn i dont know what im going to do if this is the wrong one they said no refunds for this special order part

isnt there 2 different manifolds? 1 for the 3.5L and 1 for the 3.7L
i called acura and they said 17160-rk1-a00 is the 3.5L
and 17160-rk2-a00 is the one i bought which is for 3.7L... but for some reason when i opened the box and look at the manifold there is a marking on it that says RK1
ill post a pic and show what im talking about

damn it i had to return it it turned out to be the one for the 3.5L base tl they took it back seems they made a mistake.. it was already a previous returned part
accidentally packed it in the wrong box.
but now the sad thing is the 3.7L manifold is on backorder until end of june..
and that goes for canada and u.s cause i called acura in lynnwood washington they said its back order also june
so im stuck with stock manifold for now

oh you made it seem worse than it is. That manifold is a special order item so it will always take awhile to get it. The first one i received was damaged so i had to get a 2nd one sent out. Still havnt installed it yet.
quick question here. how do u wire up the imrc for the new manifold. i noticed the old manifold imrc has only 2 pin conection. and the new manifold has a 5 pin connection
can i anybody get me the link for the pinout diagram for the imrc on the 2009 tl manifold or let me know where i can find it
i looked in the diy thread and it doesnt show up anymore think it got deleted

Ya the diagram is removed, but here is the info:
Bolt it up, connect all vacuum hoses needing vacuum, route the crankcase ventilation, the wires are really easy.
White/blue is positive, it goes to the right hand connector on the IMT on the new manifold, white/red (this threw me off) is negative, goes to the left hand post on the IMT (4 neg, 5 positive)
The two holes towards the TB need bolts, two more than the stock manifold had. I'll get them next time I am at a dealer.

^dont think so because the throttle body adapter that makes the manifold work with our stock tb is only made for the tl-s tb
and from what i remember the tl-s throttle body and tl-p throttle body are different

You can run this manifold as long as you get the top cover from a 2008 Accord 4 door V6, PN 17116-R70-A00
That one doesnt have the IMRC on it.
Im not sure if its even worth it though.
i dont think its worth it if u dont have the imrc. u can get the tl cover with the imrc and get a, shit...ummmm for got whats its called, but jjashaa had it on his tl-p with the 02-03 type s manifold. look for his thread
thanks guys for the response! the reason i was thinking about this was because i was thinking about replacing my tl-p IM with the tl-s IM..
what do you think is the best move then? just sticking with the tl-s IM or going the 09 TL IM route?

they said you put in the IMRC and rpm activation switch.. and couldn't i put in a type s throttle body also? sorry if im way off im trying my best to understand this stuff haha =P

new manifold installed with no troubles.. everythings perfect.. my mechanic left the air temperature sensor hanging outsidethe manifold is that ok??

, so probably not completely worth it
