Possible New Mod??
That makes sense as well
I hate wiring.
The wire colors are the same, and I highly doubt Honda would change the wiring colors up to confuse their techs.
How are you going about connecting them? Were you able to find a connector for it or are you soldering it in place?

For now I made a connector out of a cable with female connects on the end going to the IMT & mini male into the connector on the car.
I really need plastic cable conduit bigtime, hopefully I remember tomorrow.

My manifold is finally here. Im heading out to pick it up in an hour or so. Im going to get it dyno'd then install it. I still havent recieved my throttle body, but it should be here sometime this week.
Arod got lucky. I think Tex is the one we should congratulate. He hauled ass from first on a routine fly ball. A wins a win though, I just wish they wouldnt rely on being lucky. Im allittle upset that my sister went to the game.

I wish I could justify spending 300.00 for bad non HD, so I could see the games but being used to HD I just can't take it so I have to rely on CBS Sports "Game Center" All I knew was Teixeira got on (he was really starting to piss me off earlier in the season with all his outs) and there was an error scoring Jeter & Teixeira.
Don't get me started on the Boston series, CAN WE HAVE A BULLPEN????
Bullpen? Whats a a bullpen? Oh, you mean those guys that completely shut the Yankees down in Boston? Yea, I wish we had one of those. Im tired of Girardi tossing guys in and hoping for the best. I like Aceves, but hes young, and putting him in to face the heart of Bostons order in place of CC or even Mariano is mind boggling.
I luckily had ESPN on and they showed it. When Arod made contact I screamed F*ck! and turned away. Then I heard the shouting and I turned back.

I did not know it was on ESPN, but I am glad I did not see it (although I was watching game 7 which was great) because they got and lost the lead so many times it made me sick.

Civic and I have hours & $$$$$ into this.
Do you have something to contribute?
Here is as it sits. All done except oil catch can that seems to be lost or not sent.

The addition of actuating the butterflys is great, the power seems to be getting better. This is a great mod!

Bolt it up, connect all vacuum hoses needing vacuum, route the crankcase ventilation, the wires are really easy.
White/blue is positive, it goes to the right hand connector on the IMT on the new manifold, white/red (this threw me off) is negative, goes to the left hand post on the IMT (4 neg, 5 positive)
The two holes towards the TB need bolts, two more than the stock manifold had. I'll get them next time I am at a dealer.

Looks very nice in the engine bay.
That electrical tape on the actuator is doing nothing for you... do you have a local electrical store? I would pick up some heat shrink tubing to seal that off from moisture.
I'm curious how much weight you also removed... the magnesium manifold + cover has to weigh less than the stock manifold + IMRC cable + IMRC.

Sorry I had already deleted VSA. & coolant lines.
My VSA is electrically connected, & sitting in the engine bay out of the way & the coolant lines that ran through the TB & VSA are connected together.

if you wanna loose the vsa altogether couple of resistors is all it takes
ya its in my pms somewhere clean CL i think has done it scalbert i think knows ... and allmotor told me ... its been years seems like .03 one side .09 other and something else in middle radio shack had everything and i ran it for a while no prob
after reading through 6 pages, no one know what gains this gives? its been said that it gives 14hp. i see this bolt on as a last bolt on when u have every bolt on already. kind a pricey for the hp u get out of it.
Next saturday morning the car is getting the baseline dyno, then Ill install the manifold, and Im back on the dyno the following saturday. I dont have time during the week as Im working 8hr shifts 2hrs away from my house until the 29th

Stefan, did you need to pick up any extra vacuum hoses from the parts store or were you able to reuse the stock lines? If you needed to get new ones, what size were they?
This mod alone is only 435.00 I had already done everything else which is not necessary but complimentary.
For example Comptech headres are 20-30hp for 1100.00.
Assuming this is 14 that is a good deal. There is also a large bump in torque, I have no dyno and as I am not selling anything feel no need to prove my results.
I am not getting a SC in the near future if at all so this may be my last engine mod.
My car is quicker in all rev ranges than it was before, I am betting 15lb tq & 20hp.
Plus this looks great AND I will sell my oem manifold and get money back, I have already gotten money back from my P2R spacer.
Morgan I got standard fuel line at Cragen I have no clue about the diameter.
u can get a cai for $200
headers for $80-$130 and their will give teh same power that the comptechs
pulley for $50
tb and im spacer for $115
and have about 35-45hp. all for about the same price as the intake manifold
thats if u have those already done.
ill wait till someone post some before and after dyno runs to make the decision to buy or not

I already have quality versions of all those items, plus I have this now. My car has gotten better and better with each mod. I feel short of FI or a full build it is as strong as it can be.
Sean says he dynoed this intake and made 14hp over stock, I believe him.
Dynolicious says 280/250 so I feel I am in the ballpark with my guesstimates.
I feel I have 275/240 at the wheels based on friends builds that have been dynoed and the way their cars feel.
Even at 265/230 it is leaps and bounds above stock and my power is available sooner, lasts longer and feels great!
xs headers, its a hit or miss with those but give the same power as the more pricey ones. did p2r make a before dyno pull?

Im running XS headers, and have been since October. So far, so good, but I need to replace the flex pipe. Id love to get a set of CT headers though.
No he didnt. Sean said he just put the manifold on, it was his race car and didnt do any before runs, just after.

This is why most companies don't do R&D on mods for older cars. Not worth the people that demand multiple streams of proof.
P2R sells a 65.00 adapter, they had to design it, make a prototype, validate the design, make a final version send it out to be made from a block of aluminum that forces a large percentage to be wasted, do you think they are making a fortune on this?
Civic & I trusted it was worth it, we spent our money. I am telling you it was worth it, I have no financial stake in P2R and certainly not Acura. I told you how to get the most expensive part for 32% off list.
Do it don't do it I do not care just stop asking for proof or numbers that I said from the start I did not have and would not have.
Hell, I spent the 15.00 to get the pinout and gave it away do you want me to buy you the parts & install them too?
Forums are great but also a major pita sometimes.
im just curious. so for $435 i can have this plug and play on my car? i dont want it to be "oh, and u need this for this to work/ match up". which will raise the cost.
He dynoed the car before the plenums, then with, then with this intake. Plenums, +11, this +14.

Lol
Im doing a full write up on the swap. There will be plenty of pictures and dyno's posted.
Base price for this upgrade is ~$435 for the manifold, cover, and adapter. If you want to run thermo gaskets (~$20 each) and get a ported throttle body ($250 including $50 core) as well as an oil catch can (recommended) the cost is closer to $700.
