Ok.....guys I am going to have to side with Josh on this one.....out of common courtesy to him and his product I will wait a few weeks and then post up a video. I will however update this as to if I feel the vibrations lessening as time goes on. We all have been waiting for these mounts. It has been a frustration to us and Josh, but if the guy says there is a break in period, I don't want to falsely represent his product. Hope you understand.....

The mounts will be as broken in as they're going to be after the first day.
They are poly and if they break in they are getting worn.
They are made to be stiff.

I'm starting to sound like a hater to myself but, they are not going to break in.It's how it is.
You might get use to it ,that's it.

Next thing will be to grease them

If the vibrations are a problem going back to oem would be a smart choice.

Please post a video of a short glass of water on the dash now and said 3 weeks later.

I would like to put my foot in my mouth.
I'm going to do some quick searches and see what people are saying about poly motor mounts breaking in.

Well that was so fast I still had time to edit.
Every thing that poped up said they would not break in.
Good luck with the vibrations.

I did see people say you might be able to raise your idle rpm's to help with the vibrations at idle in gear.

Thought I would try to add some help for you.
I don't want to sound like a complete ass. All the time.

that definitely is not what I wanted to hear....

the vibrations are crazy at idle....there will be no getting used to it, if the vibrations do not subside at idle they have to come out, no question about it.

there seems to be some conflicting opinions about if there is a break in period of mounts. I have no idea myself but just from searching there are some saying that there is.
example:http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/gen...ime-break.html

sorry to redirect to a nissan forum, also how do you change the idle point..could i do this on my 6speed?

don't worry about it, I'm hearing what you are saying. Unfortunately I don't have much choice but to wait it out and see what happens.

That post op was talking about oem mounts.
search - (breaking in poly motor mounts).
I don't want to post any of the responses I saw.
because all would be bad news for those thinking they are going to get a caddilac ride from performance poly mounts.

adjust your throttle cable to raise the idle rpms to around 900.

Maybe I'm missing it (not trying to be an ass):
- The pic shows the mount base flat
- Half the hole is covered by the base
- I understand the holes are larger, but there isn't enough play to warrant half the hole being covered + the strut tower being in the way.
- With how much I'd have to slide the mount (assuming I grinded the mount), the other 2 holes would still have to be widened

Excelerate - if I make a mod(s) to the mount, and it still doesn't work, will I get a free replacement side mount? (since you recommended widening the hole(s))

Loosen the bolts we talked about slightly. And maybe adjust your idle slightly like mentioned.

hey man, what kind of problems did you encounter during the install? hopefully I'm overlooking/not thinking about something...any pointers/tips would be greatly appreciated.

I don't really want to go the OEM mount way just yet.

The only problems we had was with the side mount....similar to yours, but not as much, and the rear mount mounting holes had to be bored out slightly as well...That was really it.

So last night I was able to take the car out and really put the mounts to the test, and boy do these things perform well. I can get a slight chirp when nailing it off the long and that is it, definitely feeling it pull more, quicker shifts. I love how they perform while driving.

I had checked the bolts that go through the center of the mounts quickly on Monday, but I am going to loosen them more and then retorque again sometime soon, (my twin boys have ear infections...ugh), test it and then move on to adjusting the idle a tad as well.

Another thing to keep in mind when installing these (or for that matter any mounts) is that all the bolts for the mounts should be left loose until all of the mounts have been installed. So you will install each mount one at a time but before you torque all the bolts down you will want to have each mount put in place with the bolts hand-threaded in.

After like 5 years, my original innovative side mount finally got trashed. The bushing elongated finally. Have a new stock mount coming today & will replace it.

Also the 2 little shock absorber things are also blown. Need to replace those.

I have thought my problems were axle related but nope. Mounts.

Did you have issues with the side mount fitting also?

I think they made the mounts jigg from his car, so I doubt he had any fitment issues. He was able to take out the mount, and put it back in with no problems too.

Looks like there's a discrepancy between his car, and other member's car. Or maybe his test mounts are different than the final production mounts? I wonder if the final mount would fit perfectly on his car.

Did you ever have an accident, SSNall?

Oh shit, didn't even think about that. Looking at some diagrams, I think your right. Don't know why I didn't think of that. Guess I'm used to the TL side.

We got in a number of mounts late last week that were labeled 62A; this was the promised 75A shipment. We were pretty frustrated as most of our back orders were 75A setups. I spoke to the fabricator and he had said that the mounts sent were definitely 75A. It turns out someone just put the wrong label on the box. So, everything that was shipped was actually 75A bushings, including some previous shipments. Most of you should have gotten a tracking #; we have just a handful of back orders left.

Also 2003TL-S, I'd like to apologize to you because that means that the set you received was actually a 75A set. I'd be happy to send you 62A bushings if you want them. PM or email me for further discussion.

I had no issues installing the 6 speed mounts in my car when i did the swap. Plus it couldnt sit different, it would throw the alignment of the drivetrain out of wack.

90 huh ,rajca ?
I wonder how a 90 front and 62 or 75 side and rear would work out.
Are you planning on filling the trans mounts as well ?

One of mine has a F on the bottom, and the other one has a R on the bottom, but dimension wise they look the same.

Not the only one....

StreetKa got two fronts and a rear, no side mount. He also said he had to drill out the holes on the front mount to get it to fit properly. The rear went in fine though.

Josh, I forwarded you the confirmation email I got from you back in February when I placed my order. I still havent received a tracking number.

I received my mounts yesterday. On the bottom of my mounts there is a f stamped into them which I'm assuming means front and I have two of those. My side mount looks like it's not even for my car because it has four bolt holes and the car only has three? Here's two quick pictures for reference. I decided to call xlr8 today just to double check since I ordered 75a but on the box it says 62a. He said that it doesn't matter on front and rear because they are the same and as for the right durometer he said the box was just labeled wrong. I didn't get to ask about the side mount because I just discovered that now because I was about to install them.

Yeah, I thought the front and rear mounts were basically the same...but if not, I also have 2 "F" mounts.

Also, is there anyway to double check the durometer of the bushings rather than just going by the box (since it appears it could be possibly wrong, either way it's labled)?

And no one else has had any problems with the side mount either? I think I'll just opt for a refund. I don't want the side mount to turn into a load-bearing mount by widening the hole (I'll double check the actual bushing placement via another mock install first and go from there) and I don't have the time/means to keep double checking after filing/drilling/repeat, etc.

A whole lot of mix up''s.
Looks like the sellers going to lose out on this deal.
All the shipping back and forth is going to eat up the profits
