The motor mount thread
So is this the first time they are available?
I've got no clue as to which Durometer I actually received...Originally during the first shipment that was received realized I had an extra rear auto mount and not a side mount....at this point I'm assuming that I recieved all 75a if the 62a are just becoming available.
No worries as long as the bushings are under warranty if anything in the future happens, or the vibrations are "too much to handle" maybe I'll switch to 62a in the future.
Lookin forward to installing them soon...gotta get another paycheck first.
1foxbody, you've got a 6 speed also, which durometer did you get? Hows the vibrations with the A/C at idle?
This thread has almost half the views of the FAQ!

I got the 75a mounts. It's weird sometimes it feels worse at times than other. There is some vibration but not to bad. If your going to daily your car I would go 62a. Even though I daily mine I have some goals that need to be reached so I planned ahead lol. I also kept both stock dampeners on and I have the ingalls stiffy torque dampener.

We've had a lot of positive feedback thus far on the mounts. Many people are enjoying the firmness of the engine again and that the power of the engine can be transferred much better to the ground.
We've had a couple people have difficulty with the install. Again, it's important to remember the mounts should all be installed and the hardware should be left loose until all the mounts have been installed. Also, you should support the engine so that it does not sag when the factory mounts have been removed. Install one mount at a time. Torque the center bolt to about 35-40 ft lbs of torque.

any reviews as to the harsh virbrations? are they all gone? would love to do this but do't want to take the "luxory" out of the car by changing to mounts that make it vibrate. need some input for those that have the new mounts.

We've installed a few sets of 75A and they weren't that aggressive. The 62A should be perfect for the daily driver. However, polyurethane bushings are going to transfer more vibration than a rubber bushing so if you want OE comfort get OE mounts.
anyone with the 62A installed? thoughts/review please?
interested in getting new mounts to help transfer the add ponies, but need to confirm the severity of the vibrations with and with out A/C.

Same. I'd love a cup of water video for the 62A mounts. I understand there are only some vibrations with the 75A, so I'm hoping the 62A will be almost as soft as OEM.
guys, with the 62 and 75 the vibrations arent going to be like a compactor vibrating the earth. Id be willing to bet a set of OEM mounts that are blown are going to make the car vibrate just as much.

which mounts do you have?
^Seriously? Stop reading so literally. He means that the 62A and 75A are both tolerable in terms of vibration. Obviously the 62A will be softer and have less vibrations than the 75A.
I would get 62A because I don't want to go through OEM mounts so much. At the same time, I don't want to sacrifice comfort. So 62A is more for daily driving, while 75A is more for street performance.

75A. Im fully prepared for the vibrations since my side and rear OEM mount are filled with 94A poly and the front is 80A (and blown). Even though these are rated at a lower durometer, I expect similar vibrations since they are solid bushings and not polyurethane poured on top of rubber.
Its about to rain though so I dont know if Ill be able to get all the mounts in. Im going to try to get the front and side in today, the rear may have to wait.

Lol. Ive gotten the hang of doing the rear mount since Ive replaced it two or three times. But because Ive done it so much over the past 2years, I really dont want to do it again.
It has stopped raining though. No sun, but Im heading out to swap the side and front mount out.

thanks for clearing that up. i more interested in knowing if anyone here has had experience with both the 62&75 and their thoughts on them. Anyone go with the 75 and thought it was to stiff and chnaged to the 62 and though it was much better? have you experienced both of them first hand or your just stating the obvious?
its much better now but u can feel some vibrations but nothing that really bad its firm and i think that what all of us were looking for...
I dont think it is a bad idea as long as you OEM mounts arent really trashed. Im doing the front and side mount later today and the rear tomorrow unless I have the time/energy to do it today.
6MT? No. Remove the rear damper, unbolt the mount swivel it up (so its upside down) and pull it out from the top. Dont forget to support the engine. I use the jack on the diff housing. Dont lift the engine up, just support it.
Im not sure about the auto rear mount.
