That looks exceptionally sweet!! It appears you have hit a goldmine with your installer, not many of them out there that pays attention to detail as yours appears to have done..

who made the IC tank?

I'm still working on the axels, let you know later.

Do you know any honda V6 guys who need a set of BRAND NEW CLS CAMS? these have never been used and came out of a set of brand new CLS heads.

So when does the M90 go in? hehe

I found out recently that the S/C'ed Ford Thunderbird used the M90. You should be able to pick up the blower unit off one of these cars for under $500. hehehe

The M90 was also used on the L67 GM engine (GTP and now the Impala SS). However, this is a previous generation unit which is not as efficient. You may gain the ability to boost more but may not get anything in way of power.

I would hold out for a way to adapt the MP90 on there.

Steve are you going to have the block sleeved? A local guy just had his short block replaced due to a lean condition. Pistons, rods, crank, etc are fine but the cylinder walls on the rear bank were messed up pretty badly. I don't know if he had to return the damaged block for a core charge or not. I'll call him tomorrow. This is just the short block assembly though, nothing up top.

The complete head assembly was re-used from the original motor. Only the short block was replaced. Sorry.

My plan is to use a stock engine just to see how far that can go. I am really curious what the J32A2 can take before failing when properly tuned.

Hmmm then blow it up and rebuild it! That's half the fun anyways right? Figuring out what works and putting it all together. Can't wait.

Kind of fun. But I really want to know what the limits are. I wonder if the J32A2 can handle 600 CHP, with tuning and cooling, on the track for more than a few laps.

I suspect it will handle road duty fine at that level for a few thousand miles. But it will probably die within ten hard laps around Road Atlanta.

thats a reasonable starting bid, comptech, i'd trust their judgement.

scalbert, just build one right the first time, forget bout seeing how much it will take, for it will fail under what you want to do. then just more money, it may split the block, who knows what damage will occur. just my thought.

Steve,

Nice plans for NSX with J32A2

BTW, the brand new bare block I can get for $440 and full assembly NEW block for $1440 vs. $1921-2000. I think car-part sells the entire engine USED for $1600. So, its your call.

Car complete, startup up fine, however AW headers DO NOT WORK for me . There is an exhaust leak and decent gap between flanges, thus headers don't sit flat. My guys tried everything and they installed at least 5 headers on CLS/AV6 and seems either I have a bad version or I have a bad version. When they did TAG ride (Oddy block/CLS heads/blower) they said CT fit perfect. They could've done it before, but I didn't authorize to get CT until I return to see it knowing many people installed AW fine.

Here are the pics for AW headers. This was the final attempt and nothing good

So, I dont know what to do with AW since shop welded bung for Bosch sensor (will use wideband Zeitronix).

Anyway, I had no other choice and placed an order for CT HEADERS today and expect them to receive next Thursday. Since shop removed the blower anyway, I will be getting Optima 51R battery. So if next Friday works out it would be great, however realistically looks like the following Monday (they closed on Saturday) I should pick it up. Well, another week, hope it will be over. Then I'll take the completed pics with stock 16" rims (removed Centerline for winter).

The E-Manage there and ESM still there, once CT headers on, they'll remove it eventually.

BTW here are the good news, IC plumbing look good underneath

1440.oo without heads, how much can you get complete heads for? from what i can gather, they run about 1200.oo each.

while you were gone, there was a whole pissing match about these so called aw headers. bottom line is they suck, but nexus says they have fixed the problem. more smoke and mirrors.

Sorry to hear that your Alpha headers did not fit. So much for this https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165956 I'm glad you finally decided to go with the best! The awesome setup your running deserves a set of Comptechs that you don't have to take a gamble with fitment/quality.
