I went by the machine shop today but he was tied up with getting one of the CNC machine running. I had several pieces for them to look at:

Machine the current RES plate for the new configuration
Look at what it will take to P&P the manifold
Look at porting the TB or machining a new one
Machining mounting brackets for the radius rod

I would like to get the RES plate done in a week so I can get to the dyno within two weeks. I also want the radius rod brackets done so myself and others can test them at the track within the next month.

So by the end of July we may have available:

RES Plate
P&P Manifold
Ported or New Throttle Body
Torque Arms (Radius Rods)

I'm also going to check on a small exhaust change which may or may not be available.

Thanks, I will definitely keep that in mind as local cars will certainly be needed.

I am continueing on items that I had alerady started or had concepts on. Once these initial parts are done I will start focusing on the J30A platform. Initially I will focus on getting more air into the engine, more on that later this summer.

Scalbert, I have the E-manage already but how much is it for just the PnP harness?

Right now it is $200.00. Without buying in 1000+ piece quantities, the connectors and sockets are quite expensive. Provided you have the iginition and injector harness and can supply them it can be made easily enough.

It is certainly a significant interest as I see a larger market potential with the J30A.

BTW, I have the parts on the way for the radius rod and it should be a bolt on item. My first one will require a braket to be welded but I am trying to find a way to get away from that.

The unit will be removeable for street duty as there is some ground clearance issue currently. But it would not take more than a few minutes to bolts up at the track.

OK this might be a stupid question .. but about the torque arms. will they affect the ride at all? make it more rough?

The torque arms will be to eliminate wheel hop. The intial design I will be testing will not be streetable. If this proves out successful I will look into a way to make it capable of being left bolted up.

That said, no, this will not affect the ride quality at all.

What do you think about replacing the stock radius rod bushings with spherical bearings? They are used on older CRXs and Civics for road racing. I have thought about trying these to see if they would eliminate the hop. I filled my radius rod bushings with urethane and got some improvement without hurting the ride. I just wonder how streetable the solid bearings would be or if they would cure the wheel hop. Here is what the ones for a CRX look like. I almost ordered some but they have a bit smaller OD than the stock bushings.

That is the future plan.

I first want to see how well some bolt on units will work with eliminating wheel hop. I expect it to be successful and when proven I will continue with development. That includes replacing the stock pieces.

One more thing my father-in-law and I were going over yesterday. The brakes parts development may also be accelerated. We beleive we can come up with a new kit that will use Wilwood 4 piston calipers on 13.0 x 1.25 inch rotors. The rotors may end up being slightly smaller though but we'll see.

I should have some parts in soon and will start test fitting everything.

Initial projections are to be in the $850 range for the front set.

That Sounds great. It would beat every one elses prices on their kits. Brakes on our cars are one of the biggest handicaps.

Wow, I saw your site. How much is the PnP hardness alone? It says pre-program for Supercharge with high boost pulley(add$125). So all I need it to pulg the e-manage into my car and I am ready for high boost? or do I still need to fine tune it in a dyno shop?

I would say yes except for you having a 3.5L engine. This may require more fuel per PSI boost. Unless you see the A/F ratio it is just a guess.

considering I dont think he's even started designing the cams yet I think it'd be hard for him to tell...

about the brakes, I as well hate my brakes .. and 850 sounds alot better than 1300 for wilwood, 1700 for rotora or 2300 for brembo. I'd be in for your brakes.

No guesses will be made at this level. Let's get some pieces on first and then find out what it'll do.

I think the biggest thing for people to consider is that the other kits are better systems and would outperform what I am planning. But what I have in mind will be significantly better than stock; slightly shorter distance (if any) but little to no fade.

Once we get farther down the road and cams are being developed will there need to be different cams for different applications? Specifically the Uni-Chip? I know it is never good to install cams without proper tuning. Just curious if different cams will be used for NA no chip/NA chip/FI

Any discount if I get your e-manage with PNP harness kit and a high boost pulley?
