Hope Systems, Inc.

This is not news to some but is to most. I know the name is not normal but it has history and meaning for me. OK now, what is it... (mostly a copy and paste for those who have already seen this).

I know we all have desired certain parts which are not or will not be made for the J32A2 and supporting vehicles. I decided to try and change that and as such have begun organizing a side project which will allow me to supply the IC and e-Manage. But also other items like enhancements to the IMRC and intake tract, etc. In other words, parts specific to our cars for enhanced power, braking and handling.

For example, bringing things like the elusive RES to market. Another planned item and for example, providing electronic items which will provide enhanced shifting on the 5AT. Also traction aiding items such as lower torque arms, etc. The idea will be to look into every aspect of these cars and find ways to improve their performance in a reliable and reasonable manner.

I have mentioned this to a few members and I guess there is no longer a reason to keep it secret:

http://www.hopesystemsinc.com

Just FYI, I've had this corporation for some time and has been used for industrial controls projects. But I decided to expand the scope of the market focus. It is an unusual name for auto parts suppliers.

Another of the main objective is to entertain potential projects from you guys. The input of people and what they really want will be heavily weighed upon. I'm not shy about prototyping and testing ideas, just throw them at me.

There are too many spring options and I don't want to be an 'also' venture.

But the headers is something I had planned on and will be looking into.

Steve,

Very cool deal. Glad to see someone with your skills coming out with engineered/custom products for our cars!!

FYI, if things get out of hand and you need help with distribution, still, let us know. We've sold items before and made no money, so we'd be happy to help out .

Good luck and can't wait for that RES

What a name, it gives us all hope that we can finally have more than just the usual bolt ons. I have one question though, will you support Premium owners as well. I have a 99 TL that i purchased way before the S's came out.

Yes, in fact that is an area of interest considering the larger market potential.

Wow, this is awesome.

I would love to see a high performance cam made for our cars, along with headers and ECU.

Also, this might be a difficult task, but you could look into the possibility of having a complete conversion kit to swap out the 5A with a T-56 unit, along with the necessary parts and ECU. I would definitely get one of those.

I'm sure the name won't strike fear in other brands.

Just a quick update. The IC will go on sale by mid May and will be supporting all J-Series versions. I will update the site after my vacation starting tomorrow (first in two years) to reflect the details. But it will include everything needed for the IC kit and will include instructions. Installation time is expected to be about three hours.

Ordering details will be available later but expect about four to six weeks for delivery. I can't stock them since there will only be a handful who purchases them. Credit cards will be accepted and the target price is still in the $1600 range.

The e-Manage and pulleys will also be available as I expect most who want the IC will also want more boost and the e-Manage is required for more intercooled boost. I will offer it as plug-n-play. But I will need the help of a blown 5AT owner to help get the right map down. I'm willing to work with someone to get this map. I would be willing to fly to your location, help install it and tune it on a local dyno. This would provide greater confidence in the actual 5AT map versus the 6-Speed. The same goes for the AV6/CL3.0 owners.

This will be the first offering for the J-Series from Hope Systems. More will follow in the coming months.

The following is the intended schedule which should take me out about six months. This will probably be altered based on demend of items and everyones input is desired.

Code:
Item Development	Available
Intercooler 9/1/2003	5/15/2004
PnP Greddy e-Manage System 11/1/2003	5/15/2004
RES 6/1/2004	8/1/2004
Torque Arms 6/15/2004	7/15/2004
P&P Manifolds 7/1/2004	8/15/2204
Cat-Back Exhaust 7/1/2004	8/1/2204
New CAMs 8/15/2004	10/1/2004
Braking Package 9/15/2004	11/1/2004
J30A1 and J32A1 Intake Enhancments	11/1/2004	1/1/2005

As a side note I have been looking into a way to make it AWD. But that is a pipe dream and one I would never sell. If I did make an attempt it would be for me only. Too much liability...

And the date for the Turbo kit?
if I'm not mistaken, RES would not be useable with FI/intercooler?
Are the PnP manifolds an FI application as well? I know the turbo kit was hard to sell before. Are your FI applications useable with Turbo?

You are correct; any RES system would be irrelevant when forced induction is applied. The PnP manifold is a NA application as well. There are more cars without a blower or turbo; a larger market.

I plan on offering the turbo system Ramanan offers (actually his manifold, etc.), just with the additional items needed. You might notice it is not on the list for development as it will probably not be a hot seller. But as more cars come out of warranty it will be more desirable. As for a date, later this fiscal year.

This will be looked at within the year. The 5AT, especially since there are more of them considering the TL-S, is a larger market. I just have to weight the opportunities with the potentials and move from there.
