It could be in the ignition systems with only one common coil. Ours utilize 6 individual coil packs above each spark plug so - no not a coil problem.

can anyone else suggest anything.. we replaced the ingition switch already but are still having problems. it happens every couple of weeks, sometimes stopped, other while driving, the car will just gradually lose power and die, giving it gas does nothing... after the car dies, if you turn it off it will start back up, no codes ever come up.. the rest of the time it runs fine, although I have noticed a couple of times the tach needle seems to drop really quick even though the engine doesn't seem to be changing much, but that could just be nothing..

could really use some help... thanks

By this info I'd say a bad IAC valve. It doesn't give a code when it's faulty. Ever change it?

That sounds like the timming belt broke or overheated.
Does the car turnover fast or not at all ?

Just stopped running. Sat for about two minutes and it re-started and worked fine.

Yesterday same thing happened again. Got it running went about a mile and stopped again.

No codes at all. Never any dash lights like it stalled.
Recently put 6 new coils on. Due to having 2 fail. Idle is still a little funky but that is all????
no power gets through the ignition switch means no dash lights and such on, and as far as codes, the pcm is in "essence" just thinking your are turning off the car, so it will never set a code

then the restarting no issues, you turn the key which made the connection in the switch again
and btw when they go out, they seem to kinda do it intermittently at first, then BAM, one time you go to start it, it will, but as soon as you let go of the key from the start position the car will die immediately

Sometimes the fiter on the pump will collect garbage from the botom of the tank and keep colecting till not enough fuel can get threw and it will stall like that.
Then by turning off the key some will come back off to allow you to start the car again later , the time it takes for you to get the lines fully flow with fuel.

I Had that problem before with another car.
Don't know if it's yours.

thanks for the info, if the relay doesn't fix it, that will be the next step. can anyone tell me if there are instructions for removing the lower dash panel so I can get access to the relay?

When you open the door, you'll see the fuse box cover. Pull that cover off. There is a screw behind that holding the panel on, and IIRC another near the center console. Then gently pull it towards the seat.

Make sure the car is off

From what I hear, its a bitch to remove from the bracket. You may be able to unbolt the bracket from the car and bring the whole thing down so you can work on it. I believe it uses a 10mm bolt.

Its up there kind of high, so it'll be a pain getting to it.
