Also any words of wisdom besides patience and PB blaster for the headers? I'm itching to put the blower on but need the headers on first. Build is looking sweet btw. Keep up the good work and when you get frustrated just think about the smile on your face at wot with the stroker in!
Honestly there isn't much besides the bit about patience and pb blaster that I can think of. Definitely spay the pb blaster on the night before to let it soak, then hit it again about 20 before, and then right before. Helps a lot if it soaks a bit.. also have new hardware and gaskets. Other than that, just the patience part.

What a/f wideband did you get? AEM UEGO?

On a side note my E46 rear subframe is broke problem with these cars but it was going to happen at some point. Got a couple quotes in the area at 1400-1800. I think im gonna do it. There goes the $ from the motor. Always something.
Dude that sucks about your BMW. I hadnt heard of these issues until I read this...
Yeah I grabbed an AEM UEGO. Seemed like the best price vs. Performance. Pretty much any speed shop I've been to notonlymsells them, but tune with the, too.
Jst figuring out where/how to mount it stealthily.

I honestly dont remember which mod we spoke about a while ago. I've had too many :ninja mods

Sucks about the subframe though. Somewhat similar - my mom used to have a '78 320i, and the rear strut towers rusted away. The car had over 300k miles on it when that happened though, so I guess it paid its dues.

Does it crack due to stress? I know the E36/8 M Coupes had issues with the rear diff mounts shearing off. I still want one though.
We may be bottom feeder, but we are enthusiast bottom feeders.
Wait...
Not sure that is better.

Bottom feeders. Right.......

I had the UEGO, nice piece. I had a custom 2pod steering wheel column piece made for mine. Sold it to someone on here. Maybe stealth install it somewhere...

There are a couple things that people say causes it to happen. Its all luck. Some granny drive and it happens, some track the cars and it doesnt happen. Some say its because of worn subframe bushings, weak spots in the sheet metal, rear trailing arm bushings. Im going to get it done. I need my h&r rsb. Car is solid up front so its understeering a bit. The front strut bar made a difference. I couldnt believe it. On the acura its, eh, looks. On this car....big improvement.

I need to take some time soon and take the CL parts i have left and post them in the BM.

I saw the piece you had, it was nice. I want to mount it where I can easily see it, but no one else can hehe.

I was thinking upside down pod between speedo and fuel gauge, only covers up the right turn signal. That was just test fitting though, we will see what actually comes out. I'm going to just tune for a safe A/F ratio with the FPR for now, seeing as no one can get anything other than EMS to be a long term solution, and I have no money and no access to Paul right now to do EMS the right way.

Gather up the parts and sell them, you probably have more $ sitting there than you realize. Then fix the Bimmer up...

How does that car feel overall compared to the CL, in all aspects? I'm curious....

Car is slow. Handling is where it shines. I took a exit ramp and my friend in his altima SER tried to catch up. I hit the gas and took the turn. He couldnt keep up. This is my current setup with some understeer. Front is solid, rear end is where it needs work. Cant do anything until i fix the subframe.

I still miss the CL, but what can u do...

When are u going to get her fired up? Shes been on vacation long enough.

Soon, I hope. Figuring out this tube to AN fuel line business has slowed everything down, a lot.

Its my DD so I'm only going to have two days to swap it, which is plenty, but I can't afford any surprises which is why I am trying to gear it all up before I start.

Well I figured the BMW would handle amazing, kinda awesome that it can leave behind a pocket rocket like the SE-R. RWD!

Almost forgot another puzzle piece came in today.

Not the best quality, but not terrible either. I'm strapped, just trying to get this thing in!

Open it up and fill it about halfway with steel wool, it helps catch the oil. And dont pack it in there, just let it naturally sit.

Thanks Civic, I have never heard of that trick but if it keeps the IM and TB clean of gunk I am all for it. I cleaned everything out the other day, but I have to say that Eddie kept his stuff in top shape, some EGR residue and only a little gunk, but it looked like 5k not 35k of gunk.

Things received today:

AEM UEGO,
KTuned FPR
Walbro 255lph pump
Fuel line kit.

Still need a few AN fittings, accessory belts, and fuel strainer/filter from Honda,

About 150$ and its time...

I Can't Wait. Someone buy my BM items so I can finish here!

I will take a guess and say that the engine probably hasn't been installed yet.

Quick question for the thread owner Mr Spook. I browsed through your build and might have missed it but did you do anything else to shorten the throw besides the Skunk2 knob and the shifter bushings?
