A good 3+ hours. You never went to the track either so you don't have baseline ETs.

No, but I should be able to atleast see gains with the basic bolt-ons and have a general idea.. Also with being able to just unplug the chip I should atleast see gains from it.. If not I know I have a problem..

Changes in ECU/PCM during transitions...

I don't see why it should; at least not when doing a "pull" on a dyno.

PCM changes were "supposed" to be limited to slight change in RPM limits during shits. The solenoids that control the shifts get a slightly different "profile" during the shifts as well. The docs submitted to the NHTSA showed higher Gs during the shifts. This doesn't mean there is more "overall" acceleration; it just means that there is more "shock" during the shifts. If you don't slip a clutch as much, you get slightly harsher shifts -- and this is interpreted as higher G force during the shift transitions. I believe the advance is changed a bit too during transitions.

I have a 4pm appointment tomorrow at Garage Kwai for a baseline dyno run, Then another appointment next week tuesday with chip. I want to make sure the chip's settings have set in and the ecu has adjusted properly to get some true results. Since some people are saying they didn't feel the power right away. This might help or I'm just waiting a week for no apparent reason

Matt, I did 2 pulls on each setting and 2 on the stock setting. Only two pulls are shown on the graph because with 6 different pulls the graph gets very cluttered. They represent a stock ECU pull and a Map A pull.

I'm getting everything worked out:

Don't wait. Install the chip now and make your FIRST runs with the chip. Then take the chip out and run the stock ECU. No need to have two dynos if you don't need to. Make sure you get your A/F ratio tested during the dyno too!!! You shouldn't be much higher than 13.2 according to Uni-Chip.

This is very interesting reading that has to do with gas and piggyback ECU's provided by Ericl.

I think this artical deserves some attention in light of whats been happening with some Unichip owners.
