The gas station i'm going to has 100 and 105 which should I get. And I can only get enough to fill a gas can. They won't let you fill it directly into your car. So 5 gallons of which 100 or 105?

((93 * 7) + (105 * 5)) / 12 = 98 octane final.

I think Matt should shed some light on what was needed in order to get his car the way it is. I mean, from what I've read, not only they made more power with the Unichip on Zex, they also made it safer, and staright forward by intergrating their chip with the Zex switch. I mean, you are literally getting a whole different product then what the NA guys are getting if you think about it. Different map, different wire hook up, and a different setup for switch controls. I think say if one of the guys later on went NOS, and it probably cost about that to get it remapped and rewired?

What exactly do you mean by turning it off? you mean unplugging it? If so, then no, the dealer will not be able to detect anything unusual.

The other switch is the ECU reset switch. There is no on/off button for this chip. You want it off, you'll have to just unplug it. Should be in the instructions. :o

Is it funny that the only dyno's we have seen (besideds mine) are directly from Uni-Chip??!? Hmmmm... little fishy if you ask me. Plus they weren't actual whp they were crank corrected. This all makes me sick right now.

The butt dyno felt like there was power there, but that may have been because when I reset the ECU I felt like power had been lost until I had drove around a lot.

My original dyno was done at a 3rd party dyno shop, and this shop has been around for a long time, longer than/prior to Unichip moving from CA to OR. I've posted that dyno as well as the Unichip version.
mrsteve, i know and understand how you must feel, but lets just wait and see what others have come up with in terms of results. Your statement about question their dyno could be said about yours, lets just wait and see how others do, and if the result is the same, I will go down there myself to get an answer from them personally.

I just made an appointment at Performance Autosport in VA that has installed a Dynojet 224x. They do mostly Saleen Mustangs there but their dyno is open to all. I told him that I'm interested in a with and without Unichip dyno and a/f results. Mike, the owner, was like "yea... those chip guys (generically speaking) can talk some big gains... bring it on down and we'll show you exactly your gains." Just as an additional reference Can't get there until Sat. morning though.

Steve,
Thanks for the e-mail. This should be a pretty easy fix. The car is obviously a bit too lean, and but that can easily be accounted from individual vehicle tolerances, and can be quickly corrected.
One thing to note from the dyno sheet is that even being too lean, the only place the car’s making less power is above 6,300 rpm. (Yeah like 2 more whp) It will definitely make more power once the Unichip’s directed to get a bit more fuel in there. Do you have any other modifications on the car other than the intake, headers, and axel back which might account for the difference?
I see you got the dyno pulls at Altered Atmosphere… they are a Unichip shop although they haven’t done anything in quite a while. Is there a reason they didn’t just jump in there and add some fuel? If the car was already on the dyno, they could have corrected the A/F in ten minutes.
To correct things, we can proceed one of two ways. The best would be to go back to Altered Atmosphere and have them do a tune. Alternatively, you can send the Unichip back and we’ll modify the map to pull less fuel at full load. The later I can do for free, but you’d have to work something out with AA.
Tony my lead tuner will also call you later today to find out how you want to proceed. You can also shoot me an e-mail.

Great to see that jack is standing by it. Weird that Altered Atmosphere didnt tell you they were a unichip shop though, and weird that they didnt offer to go in and fix it in the first place. ![Dunno](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/dunno.gif)
I still swear I feel gains all over the place, but it IS starting to act a little weird. Once or twice I hit the gas and it felt like it hesitated then went. Sometimes at like 1\4 throttle the engine will be revving but it doesnt feel like its making power, then all of a sudden a little above 3K RPM I get this surge of power that feels as strong as VTEC engaging, and the car pulls HARD as hell to redline. Other than that the car is definetly running stronger all through the RPM band, straight to redline.

Only disapointment is that I feel I have to do some dyno runs now to make sure I'm getting what I paid for. And may have to travel to a UniChip dealer to make things easiest.. Hmmm..
