i dont have squeaks its more like a loud click i hear above the lumbar support when i lean back and i also feel it click like a spring or something is out of place then pops into place when weight is applied but it only happens if ive been out of the car for a while. BTW I hate it, it drives me nuts.
i got squeaking problem too, but... i already got it fixed
if u still got a warranty on your tsx, they're gonna change everything until that squeaking sound stop. that's what I did..
i just got that fixed last month, the thing made me nuts is that the dealer won't give me a loaner car just because i'm 18!!!!!! so i got to wait 5 hours straight!!!! the minimum age is 21 i think..

File a complaint with the NHTSA and let them know of this widespread problem. The squeaky wheel (or in this case, seat) gets the grease!

My 2006 started having the same problem (creaking driver's seat when I turned the car or shifted in my seat -- very annoying and noticeable) a few weeks after purchase. I have made an easy fix and have had no problems since. I have been "creak free" for a couple of months.
I believe the problem (at least on my car) has NOTHING to do with the rails on which the seat slides when you adjust the seating position. Leave them alone!! As others have noted on this forum, you may damage the lubricant.
I located the creaking on my seat as emanating from the bolts attaching the whole seating apparatus to the floor. I simply sprayed (using the accompanying straw) a very small volume of WD-40 on the rear bolt closest to the driver door and the creak was gone immediately.
My seat is very "tight," with no roll whatsoever. I suspect that, if anything, the bolt was simply rotated a half turn too far. But I'm no expert (and I don't have a torque measuring device), so I didn't want to start monkeying around with how my seat was attached to the rest of the car. The WD-40 did the trick -- so far, so good for about 2 months.
As has been noted by others, the best way to access the rear bolt is to move the seat as far forward as possible and work from outside the car (through the rear driver's side door). I did NOT have to remove any plastic coverings.
Good luck. I'll try to respond to any follow-up questions.

Your solution is similar to mine except I didnt get an improvement unless I moved the rail slightly to add - or decrease - tension on it. I could actually replicate my creaking by lifting on the center part of the rail, even with the mounting bolt loosened, so I am pretty sure the noise wasnt at the mounting site - in my car anyway. I am glad you fixed yours in a simple manner too, though!
After nearly admitting myself to a mental institution to avoid a complete and violent breakdown caused by the relentless, nerve tormenting creaking, I decided to open the toolbox and find a big bad wrench.
I loosened the front left bolt (and the front right bolt just for good measure) by about a quarter turn, and the creaking stopped. Took all of 20 seconds.
Silence is a beautiful thing...

They checked mine out again and they say that my squeak is in the seat hinge. They relubricated the seat hinge again and have ordered me a new hinge. They say that it is a big job to change it and expect that it will come in sometime mid week and will give me a loaner car.
I hope that this will be the permanent fix for my TSX. Otherwise the TSX is perfect for me.

the driver side seat has been squeaking ever since the 1k miles, and now the car is at 3k miles the passenger side seat begins to "clack".. it doesn't squeak but is making a clacking sound..
anyone else is seeing this problem? i'm planning to bring the car to the dealership next week.. for tinted windows..oil change and "fix" the annoying squeaking sound.

Until my 5k oil change, I'm just turning up the XM.
New seat track is available from Acura
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Guys....just a heads up...I developed a metallic squeak on my left drivers side after 1500 miles. Everytime I cornered hard, or hit a bump, or even shifted my weight, there would be an annoying "squeaka squeaka" noise emanating from my left side.
Well after two trips to the dealer who acknowledged a problem, (they tore it apart and insulated the track twice, which fixed it for a week each time; the service manager ordered a new track. After a short back order , it came in.
,
It was installed today and the service manager said it was a lot a lot "beefier" than the existing track.
I saw mention of track problems with 04-06 tsx on this site, I believe, and Acura coming out with a replacement, well the replacement is apparently out as we speak....hopefully it is the cure.
PS..... THE CAR IS A BLAST TO DRIVE.

Looks like I have to join the '06 Seat Squeak Club -- mine started at 1900 miles, a couple of days ago, and now kicks in pretty every time I shift my weight in the seat at all -- such as cornering or going over a bump. I asked my wife to drive a couple of miles and she got it too, so it's not just my butt that's at fault!
I'm with those posters who sense the noise comes from the bottom cushion rather than the seat rails; it's really more of a creak than a squeak, and it sounds like a spring rubbing against another spring -- reminds me of a squeaky bed rather than a the sort of sound you might expect a misaligned and/or flimsy seat rail to make.
I'm contacting my dealer Monday; from this thread I think it's obvious this is a weakness of the '06 -- has Acura issued a service bulletin about it yet?

I told them that since their last lubrication and adjustment it has not squeaked, but they replied that they expect that the squeak will come back and this is the best solution.
When they do the seat base change I will let you know how it works out.

Excited
I took my 06 in about a week ago for its B1 service, and had them check out the squeaky seat as well. They lubed the track and tightened it down, but that was all. Needless to say, the squeak came back - even before I got out of the dealer's lot!
So I took it in to a different dealer yesterday. He said they needed to replace the seat base, so he would order it and it should arrive today. Hopefully I'll get my car back squeak-free later today.

I started noticing a creak in my drivers seat late last week so add me to the list.
Hopefully Acura gets a better handle on this before I take the car in for it's first oil change. I really don't want to have to make multiple trips to the dealer (who is not close by) to get this issue resolved.

seat moves
I have an 05 AT... and my drivers seat will shift just a tiny bit, enough to be noticeable and annoying. I only really notice it when I take that first hard turn on a drive. I will have to bring it in sooner or later.
I would say Acura has a design/parts problem with the TSX drivers seat based on all these complaints.

2) Lubricated seat rails
3) We don't have the part, come back next week
I can only hope this is the last time I have to deal with this
Acura called me today, and I told them the whole fiasco, apparently they are very interested in the terrible service I have received, and they want to hear more about it, and believe me they will. Good luck, by the way, telling them its the seat rails does nothing, because I did that on the first trip, then again on the second and third. They don't care, they will do their own thing no matter what. It's costing them more money doing it this way, someday they will hopefully learn.
I guess I can say I'm "lucky" in the sense that it's pretty loud, and they can easily reproduce it.
Well I just got back from the dealer. It is a 20-mile trip, and I didn't hear a thing the whole way back (knock on wood). They replaced the seat base, and that seems to have done the trick - at least for now. I will let you all know if there are any updates.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Over a month with no return of the dreaded creaking seat. . .try loosening the seat rail bolts and moving the rails a bit; its easy and it seems to work - at least for some of us! I only wish I could get my stumbling engine and notchy brake pedaql fixed as easily!

I found out long ago that if you want a dealership mechanic (regardless of make) to reproduce the sound or whatever issue you are having, you have to go with them on a test drive and point it out to them, regardless of how long it takes. That is the only way you can be assured that they will take you seriously. A professional dealer will accomodate this. My squeaking seat was repaired at Downtown Acura about 6 weeks ago after the second attempt and, hopefully, it is permanent.

I never said a 9/16" wouldn't work, but technically the bolt is probably a 14mm and not a 9/16". I only posted this correction because if someone is going to go out and buy a wrench to do this (like someone here already has) they might as well buy the correct one.
Got really fed up
Got Fed up on the way home and stopped at Home Depot. Got some wD 40, and got my tools out of the trunk, and went to work right in the parking lot. Loosen the seat a bit and sprayed WD 40 on all the bolts and rails. I did not spray alot. Move the seat back and forth a bit, and volia! No more sqeak or creak! Got up this morning and drove a bit andt he sound was heaven. Hopefully it gone for good.
