Need advice from people that have installed Euro R kit
Looking for advice from people that have installed the kit & fog lamps. Ive done some searching and found the Oem lip kit install schematics wich ive read install similarly but im really wanting to hear from people that have done the install successfully.
Stuff ill need for the install.
Tips, shortcuts, possible problems i may run into.
Modifications i may need to do to the body or kit.
Also ive noticed that some peoples kits have a gap between where the area where the fog lights are meet up with the OEM bumper and some dont , Is there a trick to getting rid of the gap.
Ill be making an Install thread with pictures wonce i get the kit so any help would be appreciated.

This forum is the bigger one (alot of people switched over here), but the other forum is a bit more technical at times.

the only caveat is the kit he installed was for the 06+. yours would be the kit for the 04/05, so there might be some subtle changes between the 2 since you have fog lights as add-ons and they're stock for the 06+.

lol I was just stating my intentions/loyalty to this forum, i dont care where the info comes from, just trying to make this install as easy as possible with answers to my simple questions.
What ive come up with so far
Stuff ill need for the install. Ive found out from the supplier that the kit DOES NOT come withe the necessary hardwear for the install.
Tips, shortcuts, possible problems i may run into. Nothing ?
Modifications i may need to do to the body or kit. Read on another forum that i may need to trim a part of the euro r foglights to get them to fit ?

install: you'll need body kit bolts, speed nuts, spring nuts, all of which you can get at a local auto parts shop, or from a honda dealership.
tips, shortcuts, problems: there are no short cuts. you're taking off the bumpers and sides. you need time. an extra pair of hands will help speed things up and make life easier, but it can be done by yourself if you're careful enough. make sure the temp is warm enough for the double-sided tape to cure properly. if it's too cold or it gets wet, it'll come off. you may want to put a hairdryer to it to get it a little sticky. be sure to wipe down the area where the tape is making contact with isopropyl alcohol to strip any wax or sealant you may have to assure good adhesion.
modifications: not sure about your kit. by my 07 euro-r kit didn't need any major modifications.
the gap: more double-sided tape?

Honestly man I did all my body kits installs.
Make sure if your getting all the clips, get some zipties too to tighten them or have them fill in gaps.
For the rear and front I got some selftapping screws for the body. A good drill helps screm them in real good.
Get alot of 3m outdoor adhesive tape for the lips it helps alot to hold up. You need some good warm weather and no car washes or rain for a day.
I'm actually redoing my tape soon since the winter kills it here.
(cleaning the car and doing the kit installed helps alot. I can't wash my car but using alchol wipes help.
Press tightly when you put the tape on the body.
You can look at your current body and use hondaacuraworld.com oem intall instructions to help.
Its pretty simialar and i found spring nuts and bolts similar at the parts store. Bought acura/honda clips online wholesale.

the a-spec exahust tips just extend further out and makes it look nicer, but it's not a necessity. honestly, i have a pair and i still haven't installed it, largely b/c the bolts were rusted in and i stripped their heads.
fyi, unless you've got a friend in the parts dept of your local acura/honda dealership, they normally don't sell the hardware, which comes with the exhaust tips, separately from the kits. you'll have to piecemeal everything together. if you get anything directly from honda, get the clip nuts. everything else--the bolts, spring/speed nuts, and self-tapping screws, you can buy at home depot or autozone/napa/pepboys.
crazy, i know what you mean with the tape. i think the heat from one side of my muffler tips basically unglued that side of my bumper spoiler. and i noticed that by my fog light, the housing isn't flush anymore. it annoys me, but i'm also pretty lazy to retape everything.

seriously, it would take you all of five minutes to go to the 'other' forum and look up the parts list from the diy thread seans627 put together.
TOOLS:
Phillips screwdriver
Phillips stubby screwdriver
90 degree Phillips(if you have it will help with the side skirts)
Flat-Tip screwdriver
Ratchet(10mm - Honda bolts & 8mm socket - Pepboys bolts)
Isopropyl alcohol
Shop towel
Torx wrench/Allen wrench set
Needlenose Pliers
Large Blanket
A Friend or 2
HARDWARE:
FROM HONDA:
(10) Spring Clips - {Part # 90305-SM4-00} $1.50 each
They come individually packaged - $15.00 each
FROM PEPBOYS:
(8) Black Trim Screws - {Part # 45861}$1.99 each
They come 3 to a box, so you will need 3 boxes - $5.97 each
(8) Speed Nuts - {Part # 45406}$1.99 each
They come 3 to a box, so you will need 3 boxes - $5.97 each
(10) Body Bolts - {Part # 45595}$1.99 each
They come 2 to a box, so you will need 5 boxes - $9.95 each
as crazyazn mentioned, these parts can also be easily acquired at home depot. you just need to get the sizes and match them when you're in the store.
