Question on 3G safety features
Question on 3G safety features
Do all 3G RDXs have Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), or only some trim levels? What model do I look for to get these features?
Also, of the 3 generations of RDX, are they all about equal in 0-60mph times, or is one of them a little quicker?
Thanks

Edit: Nevermind, the dash display is on all models with CMBS, the windscreen display is only on advanced models for earlier RDX's. I don't know if this has changed in later generations.
OP see this link for in depth information on the RDX. https://acuranews.com/en-US/releases...ance?year=2018

A 2021 or 2022 model is probably the newest I'm willing to spend the money on. And I want the FCW with AEB feature.
Was also asking of the 3 RDX generations, the 2.3 Turbo, the 3.5 V-6, and the new 2.0 turbo, which of those 3 accelerate the quickest?

Whoops I completely misread your question sorry Alan! Of the 3 generations, the first generation is the slowest at ~6.9s 0-60. the second generation is the quickest at ~6.2s 0-60, and this third generation is almost right in the middle at ~6.5s. I have seen tests with a bit of variation as well as some wild outliers such as 5.7s 0-60 for the 3G but these are generally the average numbers I have seen.
The two big advantages we had with the 1st Gen and 3rd Gen turbo RDXs was sh-awd with aftermarket support (ECU reflash, injectors, larger intercoolers, CAI, headers, downpipes, exhaust, etc...). I don't think there was a lot of aftermarket support for the 2nd Gen 3.5L RDX and it didn't have sh-awd for that 13-18 gen. The 2nd Gen RDX was pretty much a 2 row version of the 14-16 3.5L MDX without sh-awd (CR-V slip-n-grip awd for 2nd gen RDX). Depending on what you want to spend, you can get in the 5 second range with the 3rd Gen RDX with aftermarket parts.
