OK, I have a honda accord, has anyone tried to modify it yet? I know this is a acura board, but Honda makes acura's.

I ran the post, would need help with changing the navi system. Does anyone have a walkthrought??

On a different note how does the bluetooth on a TL and RL work with the navi. system??

bysin, you should put a width=416 attribute on the img tags on your site so the images display on your page in the same 16:9 aspect ratio that they will on the navi screen.

 

that's a nice idea...

btw, what program are you using that can produce 173-color BMPs at that size? I tried different graphic programs, and all the ones that don't kick the image back up to 256 colors are still a dozen or so bytes bloated. I wind up having to lower the palette down to 171 colors, which isn't that much of a sacrifice, but still...

OK, the TL and the RL have bluetooth built in via the nav system, I have read MOST of the posts but have yet to come across anything about how this is done via the nav system. I have a honda accord, but it has a compact media slot in the truck, I read that no one has figured out how to use it yet.

I see that Bysin has a GUI interface that will allow you to change the photo on startup and remove the NAG screen. ANYTHING else out in the way of changing buttons or look?? Again I have NOT read everything but do not see anything on the thread other than photo's and wish lists.

Also how does one get money to Bysin? For all his hard work.

 

This has nothing to do with NAVI, but you may want to search for my posts about my 3rd party bluetooth car kit that I had installed (complete with pics). It's in the off-topic/audio section (I think). Search for BLNC or IHF1000.

Photoshop will let you limit the number of colors in the palette at the point where you convert to Indexed color mode, but for photographs I'd suggest you instead shave 2 pixels off the right and left side of your image so you can then use all 256 colors and still be under the size limit. You'll miss those colors more than you will miss the 4 columns of pixels.

This hack doesn't seem to work w/ the 2nd gen CL navi... or am I being dumb? There's no "Version" button at the Map/Guide + Menu + Cancel screen. I figured out how to load the modified BIN file but how can I find out what BIN to modify?

 

Since Bysin hasn't updated his hack page in almost two weeks can anyone tell me if there's been any headway. My Accord is one of the models that the Okay Hack doesn't work on.

Now my only question is why the delay?? When I turn the car on before the pic shows up instantly. The file is only 111KB, so its not that big. Did we get a fix for this and I missed it?
