Thanks Excited!

Although I really like the stock 06 wheels, I think yours look better.

Congratulations!, your car is gorgeous <drool sign> <drool sign>

Arrow M3 Style Lip Spoiler

Well I sent in a question for Xenonspecialist on his ebay listing (M3 lip spoiler - Artic Blue). I asked, "Do you carry a Royal Blue Pearl M3 style lip spoiler?" This was his response.....

"No I am sorry we do not have royal blue at this time and the custom paint needs 1 1/2 week to be done, thank you"

So I guess he is saying no they dont carry it at this time....but what does he mean by the last sentence????? I never asked about custom paint. Do you think he means he would make me one but it will take 1 1/2 weeks or do you think he means they will be carrying them in 1 1/2 weeks? I just didn’t really understand.

Thanks!

Pretty much what he said - he doesn't carry RBP, but could provide you with one in 1.5 weeks time, when he's had someone spray it up.
It's custom since it's not a stock version he carries - that's all.
Guess there mustn't be that many RBP buyers or enquiries for him to consider getting a bunch done at once.

So he doesn't carry them but will sell me one? That sounds like a contradiction, don't ya think?

No, he carries the spoiler, just not in the colour YOU want.
Maybe white and black only. Maybe primered but unpainted ones as well.
There's an easy solution - send him another message asking for clarification.
I'd suspect it's unlikely he'll get RBP ones specifically, as the paint code is already openly available, therefore any painter can get it and mix it, then spray the spoiler.
Hey presto - 1 TSX RBP M3 style spoiler!

Well, at least he answered your question. I asked at least four times a similar question and got no reply.

That's interesting about perhaps a custom paint job being possible and I think that we could get several buyers.

You make me have a big smile. I'm glad that you like the thread.

The TSX is a terrific car and is the best car that I have ever owned. It is fairly coyote resistant as well.

Loving my '06 Royal Blue Pearl, and took pics after washing/claying/waxing this weekend (Royal Blue Pearl ). Next up is the first oil change (6K miles). Wanted to hold off on the clean-up until after the service, but couldn't wait any longer. Thanks for all the great TSX info.

Congrats on your 06 RBP, it looks terrific, your hard work paid dividends in a great looking shine and deep rich colour.

Thanks for the compliments, guys.

I never would have tried claying had it not been for the info in this thread and the references to others, and now I'm a convert. I agree that this color requires a lot of upkeep, but it looks so good clean and doesn't require nearly the amount of time that my other vehicle ('04 Toyota Sienna) does to look good.

I was hoping to make it that good looking again this weekend, but we are getting a major cold front this weekend and it likely won't be warm enough to clay/polish/wax the TSX.

We will still have a few more warm weekends yet, so I will get it done before winter.

Congrats on joining our brotherhood of RBP owners.

I'm fortunate that I live in a semi arid area, so we don't get a lot of precipation here, although it will be rainy for the next few days.

Your fortunate to live in Miami, that's almost as good as Hawaii

I wonder why nobody has the RBP lip spoiler for sell yet. Is the RBP one of the more nonpopular colors? Does anyone have a link to the color breakdown by year or anything?

Thanks!

RBP is '06+ color, 04 and 05 didn't come with RBP. Although there's Iridium Blue Pearl which kinda looks like RBP but isn't available in the U.S. they're available in Canada tho not sure if they still have this color as an option.

Indigo Blue Pearl was only available for one year (05). Yes, it was similar to our RBP (we've got one in town here), but it had a more purple/indigo tone.

I would hate to have a colour that was almost right, but always a little off. I will wait for RBP.

It's funny, Xenonspecialist never returns my emails, maybe it is the way that I do it, I select an item for sale, it them gives an email address if you have any questions, and I select it and ask a question.

Took my Dad for a long drive today in the TSX. He really loved it.

Now if xenonspecialist or delsa could make a (preferably) Spoon or EDM Ducktail replica, I'd be all over it! Too bad a real Spoon is $399 unpainted from aj racing...

IMO, Spoon > ducktail > phase > m3 > OEM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mugen air spoiler

heya excited!

Well today confirms the day that i will not own the first generation TSX (in .us/canada). We found a great deal on a CSX with navi and got it. It's 90% my brother's car and we are so happy with it. It aint no TSX but it's the closest i will get to my dream car for another 2-3 years.

I am saving my money for marriage and life as i am getting married next summer and once things start to pick up it's 08-09TSX or RDX!!!!

Priorities man! I could not justify a TSX purchase other than I adore the car. I am getting married next year, meaning moving out of my folks, meaning I have to start taking myself more seriously as I have to think about my future a lot more. The CSX is a family car here, and I will be enjoying it for 1 year till I move on as my brother is kind enough to let me drive it. It’s the closest I will get to the tsx, which I can live with right now.

Priorities are the most important thing and I think you made a great decision. One day you will get a car you love, whether it is a TSX or another car.

Add me to the list...

Been following this thread since day one. My 92 Legend started shaking in overdrive and the dealer wants about 6 hours diagnostic time which may or may not determine the source of the problem. You'd think they would know what the problem is.

That was my queue to put the money towards a new Royal Blue Pearl TSX instead!

I just moved to Denver, Colorado from Minnesota two months ago. But I was loyal to my Minnesota dealer (White Bear Acura) and gave him a shot to make me a deal. Can you believe they had exactly what I wanted? RBP, parchment interior, and Navi! That was definitely a sign. I'm flying to Minneapolis on Saturday morning to pick it up.

So does anyone want a Black/tan 92 Legend LS with 114,000 miles?

Long live this thread!
