For some reason I can't start a new thread but hoping this will be enough to get an answer.

Have any of you hard wired a Garmin or such navigation system into the RL? How did you do it? I'm assuming I can wire it into the CD changer (losing the ability to play CD's). I'd like to pick up a Garmin mostly for the Bluetooth and MP3 ability but having the GPS can't hurt either.

The 780 just dropped to $165 and is yelling at me to buy it.

Any input?

I'm not too sure why it's just springs. I bought it used off a Floridian who had it on his RL. I liked the way his car sat and hit him up just as he got a new custom coilover kit.

I'm going to wait until I get some new tires for the 09 Accord Coupe V6 wheels I bought, then I'll put it on all at once.
That should hold me over until I can save up some money to get the wheels I really want.

has anybody compared the suspension to another? For example, if TSX coilovers work, does that mean their various aftermarket suspension arms/joints would work too?

Not neccesarily.

Most HOnda suspensions have some sort of similarities. Dimensions are usually a problem. Thats not to say something like say adjustable UCA's from another car wont work though. Unfortunately theres alot of trial and error.

Well I installed a single din headunit in the RL with an impedance adapter from PacAudio. Screws lined up perfectly for me.

Of course there is a nice classy-looking gap in between the trim and the faceplate, but it sounds great. iPod + MP3 CD capability combined with bluetooth and satellite radio!

I've made a few inquiries with various Japanese companies who claim to have kits that will fix this.

Not sure if that LS kit was for a navi or non-navi model.

I'm just going to by some ABS plastic sheets and get aquainted with a dremel

Bought a Kenwood Excelon X994 (<---- Link), its in the mail and i'll have pictures once thats all done

Cleaned my wheels yesterday at my buddy's dealership -he had some serious wheel acid cleaner. Basically went from gunmetal rims to normal. I couldn't believe how dirty and stained they were, took about 1.5hrs just for wheels. Might get out there today and wax it.

I def agree.

Well I got out there, clayed the entire car, buffed it and waxed it. Finally the weather's been nice. Spent a total of 4-5 hours in the last 2 days but I think it's well worth it

I've been meaning to spend some time to clean it for months. I'm glad it's finally done. Now I need to do the interior and need to get some touch up paint.

Here it is with the Garmin. I ended up getting a vent mount, less visible to thieves. I will be taking everything apart soon again and will have the wires come out of the vent.

Be careful with those center vents, they're delicate. Make sure you have some modeling glue handy in case of emergency.

its not plug n play. its alot of work, plus you'll need the nav unit itself, cables all over, hvac, radio.

converting a non nav to nav is a very hard thing to do.

ah.. very true thank you. the thought of having a jdm tv/nav screen is nice. but its prob easier to just get a aftermarket double din screen.... too bad that screen was looking nice

I have a random question. I've never owned a car that has A/C econ mode, what exactly is it made to do? I feel it changing as I'm driving.

It turns on the A/C system as needed in theory improving gas mileage.
