So I bought an Integra LS special edition sedan last week

It's no RL, but I'm happy it has leather and a sunroof. The SE package has the GSR suspension, and man does it feel great in the corners

What does this mean?
The RL is going up for sale sometime in May

I've been driving a lot more lately and want to do some touring/road trips this summer

Gas where I live is $5.04 a gallon presently, and last summer it was $5.18

The Integra gets about 28-30mpg city and 36-39 on the highway according to fueleconomy.gov and other sites. As long as I keep my foot out of it LOL!

Selling the RL for a profit from what I bought it for 2 years ago Did the same thing with an old 97 Accord V6 I had back in 09

Don't worry, the car won't be riced, just tint and 6K HIDs

Good luck with the integra!

It's official....the RL just got posted up on Craigslist.

Just picked up a 2006 Pilot EX-L with navigation - one owner with service records and 87K miles on it. Got 3 keys, owner manual, his warranty up to 120K miles, in real good shape. Got it for a ridiculous price.

Now I'm ready to haul the stroller around

Good luck with the Pilot!

(see what I did there?)

Why not get an MDX of the same vintage? But hey, it's got Navi and leather, and I'm sure you got a great deal!

I'd get one, but I'm 21 and don't need to haul around a stroller yet

Btw, looks like the Pilot could use some new tires in the near future (or maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me).

Yep it does need new tires. This price was too good to pass up, plus I kind of like the Pilot a little more. It is a little more spacious. My aunt and my mom both have MDX's.

This is just getting ridiculous!

The price of gas is now $5.29 a gallon where I live!

That's right, $5.29!!!

Filling up an 18 gallon tank costs roughly $95.22.

I love my RL, but man, I can't take it anymore!

I can't wait to register the integra 4 dr that's sitting in my driveway

The only gas sipper I liked more than the Teg was the 06+ Civic sedan, but I hear those had quite a few problems with their engine blocks cracking, A/C, etc.

Not being in the RL after it's sold will make me feel like a regular 21 year old again. Oh well, at least I still have the RL for a month or two

I always found it a little weird that Honda put altezza tail lights as oem equipment on those pilots after the refresh. Oh well, Honda knows best

Ricer pilot? Ahahaa, just messing with you!

Definitely wouldn't say Honda knows best...

I want to get some side step bars and cross bars for the roof rack. Maybe a sunroof visor. Make it look a little nicer.

Introducing the new Acura RLX, replacing the RL

I'm not liking it........ WAY too bland/ camry-ish. I thought this thing was supposed to grow in size for the new gen to be further set apart from the TL. What happened?

I just sold my RL. 2002 with 160K on it for $5300. Some rust by the windshield killed my asking price but I feel like it was still fair. Whoever replaced the windshield did not do a proper job sealing it.

Not feeling the RLX. Maybe it will grow on me but it looks too much like the current one and certainly doesn't look like a $60K car (assumed MSRP).

I agree. It looks too much like a boring Lexus ES , not the big german sedans it's trying to compete with. But I suppose that's been the problem the RL has had all along.

I kind of like the new RLX. Should be a good competitor to the GS. Looking forward to seeing it in person, it'll be interesting to see what it will actually look like when released.

The next 2 years will be big for Acura. Let's see if they can make a big come back!

I just finished reading 2 years of threads...

And...I actually enjoyed it.

I've got a 96 RL with a few problems I need some help with, but I cant post yet. So I'm just reading up until then.

Nice! Can you post up more pics with those wheels on! I've always wondered what the Aspec wheels look like on an RL.

Not a fun evening...

Well finally I will be stepping away from RL. It has served me well and I was initially hoping to carry on for another 3/4 years and make it to 200K . However the carbug has bit me hard and I ended up agreeing to trade mine in.

It took me like 2 hours to clear out all the stuff in the car and get it ready for drop off tomorrow. Hopefully it gets a new home and some one willing to enjoy the many more miles left on it.

It will be TL SH-AWD.

Went to drop the RL off today, however the TL was not ready for delivery, as they need to take care of a few things that I was not happy about. The dealer offered to put me in a new MDX as a loaner vehicle for the next 4/5 days, but I chose to have a few more days with my trusted RL.

New to the scene. Im a nissan guy who does most of my own repairs and mods and i just picked up a silver 2004 3.5rl and its having some trans issues. i went by the dealer and they of course said i need a new trans. im about to change the fluid this weekend as idk the last time it has been done and hope this resolves the issues, but if not was wondering what other if any honda/acura trans will work with this car, as it seems rare to see anyone parting a rl out?

You are the FIRST 2004 RL Transmission failure I've read......The previous owner must have abused that vehicle (neglected maintenance) but again it could be an isloated case....keep us posted...

then hopefully its just the fluid. It just shifts pretty hard everytime. i checked the mounts they dont look torn or anything. Im thinking its just the fluid as ive had some cars feel almost gone until i changed the fluid. It just strikes me as odd the dealer just told me straight up it probably needs replaced, but they didnt give me any real reasons probably just assumed im some idiot that they can take my money from.

I'd change the transmission fluid and differential fluid ASAP.
