Unhappy Electrical Issue - Dash display Tech pkge

I have a 2008 RDX with the Tech Package and last week I turn on my vehicle an the LED dash display No longer lit up. I look in the manual to see if there was a "fuse " or something to light it back up an nothing. It frustrating because the heat control an volume control an radio dial are view there. Can some one guide me to how I can resolve this problem.

Problem : 2008 No screen or light on the dashboard display for the RDX tech package.

Need help !!!

If I'm reading you right, it sounds like the lights that illuminate the center dash buttons are out, and if so you might read the below thread. I imagine there are some similarities.

electrical power issue

Today i had a serious malfunction with my 2008 acura rdx tech package, i was driving down the road when suddenly the car started to buck then the navi shut off along with the gauges on the dash speedo tach ect, then i couldn't roll the windows up or down, i parked the car then try to reverse the car went no where, then my display read service a due stability control warning power supply warning every light was on the dash including airbag and brake while the gauges still weren't working. I think its an alternator issue cause the car wouldn't restart when shut down, also was thinking it wouldn't drive in forward or reverse due to the fact the transmission is electric controlled if anyone could help me out that would be great, I am in a real bind right now and anything will help!

What you're describing sounds a lot like an alternator failure. Put a new battery in (or charge your current one) and it should drive at least long enough to get it to a shop and get it checked out / fixed.

Charge the battery - then start the car, turn on all accessories, and check the voltage at the accessory port below the center dash - it should be a nominal 14volts at idle. Or open the hood and check w/ a DCVM at the battery. Or any parts store will check your alternator, but I have found they do not always do so accurately. SEARS has always done a good test for me, and also charged my battery before testing.

TEST EQUIPMENT – EVERSTART BATTERY MONITOR VOLTMETER p/n 932W:
This inexpensive digital device measures between 8.0 and 19.9 volts DC. It displays only to a single decimal point. It draws 0.1 amps because it has 3-LEDs and the 3-digit display. The device was purchased from Wal-Mart. Since I do not own a ‘real’ digital volt meter. I have no way to calibrate or verify the accuracy of this simple device. It is useful only to give comparison readings during charging.

However, I did check the Battery Monitor Voltmeter against the BatteryMINDer when charging my battery. The specification of the BatteryMINDer is that it trips into Maintenance mode at 14.4 volts. The Voltmeter reads 14.1 volts. The specification of the BatteryMINDer for Maintenance mode charging is 13.4 volts. The Voltmeter reads 13.3 volts. This gives an indication of the relative Voltmeter accuracy, because the BatteryMINDer is probably rather accurate, to prevent damaging any battery that it is charging.

Again, a valid battery charge-level voltage reading can be taken only after the battery surface charge has been removed, by letting the battery sit overnight for 12 hours.

This device is also useful in indicating any problems with the vehicle charging system, e.g., the alternator. For example, the RDX voltage should read between 13.5v and 15.1v when the engine is running. The device can be plugged directly into one of the (cigarette-lighter type) charging ports on the dash, which will give a reading only when the engine is running.

This voltage-meter device can also be used as an alternative to a Load-Test, by verifying that the battery voltage is between 9.5-10 volts (minimum) during an engine start.

I had issues with all my warning lights momentarily flashing at once and a loss of power during those flashes. I found that the positive battery cable and terminal post were corroded. Once cleaned the problem has yet to be replicated.

I'm experiencing problems with the upper dash information display on my 2008 Tech Package. Every time I use or adjust a function that involves the climate control fan, the dash display lights up all the characters and flashes randomly. I can adjust MODE and nothing happens. But if I push Auto or Defrost or pretty much anything that requires fan control, it malfunctions. I can work around and live with it. It's difficult to know where I am in terms of temperature. Anyhow, below is a link to a video of the issue. MOV file off my Google Drive

I really should refer to the Climate Control Blower as a Blower and not a Fan.

I read this thread below

https://acurazine.com/forums/first-g...isplay-981011/

It's pretty much the opposite of what I'm experiencing. The OP on the link is experiencing issues with the dash digital display when he uses his radio. I experience issues when I use the climate control blower. Same but different. Its fair to assume the control source is what's causing the malfunction.
