How Remove/Replace VTC Control Solenoid?

How Remove/Replace VTC Control Solenoid?
I have the Shop Manual, so I know it's just one bolt, and I've found the bolt, but where do you turn it from? How do you get a wrench on it? Two choices I can imagine: through the (raised) hood, or from underneath and behind?
Anyone done this? Know the way?
