Lights out on dash

I just bought a 05 Tl w/navi to replace my 99 tl with 260,000 miles. I have had the car for about a mounth and a half now. I was looking at the driver side of the nav screen and where the controls are for the climate control the light is out. Is there a way to fix or should I just let it be?

are you talking about the illumination lights that light up the buttons?

It's an easy fix.

Buy the bulbs, and replace them.

I just did this the other day, had 2 lights out, the bulbs are only about 4-5 a piece.

You do have to take apart most of the center console/dash so its not super easy, but its not impossible, but one word of warning for you: I replaced 2 bulbs, and the next day another went out. DO THEM ALL!! lol you dont want to experience the feeling i had when that last one went out after all of that work.

I replace the same ones in my car last summer, it's a pain in the ass to do, so replace them all. If you've never taken apart your interior, set aside an a pretty good chunk of time. Its not hard, just takes a while.

.................
Given the age of the car and the amount of work required to get to those damn bulbs, it only makes sense.

I've yet to replace my Temp Up/Down on the driver's side, the red triangle hazard flasher, and about 4 more on the steering wheel where the same thing goes, if you're gonna take it all apart, DO THEM ALL!

Couldn't agree more with the "do them all". Its fairly easy to get in there you just have to be careful that you dont damage any of the parts you take off. I had just two bulbs out on the bottom of the navi and i replaced all 4 bulbs. I put everything back together & as luck would have it the temp bulb went out. Getting the other bulbs today

Since you are doing all the lights (I would highly recommend that)....you will need the following:

It's true a few bulbs go out and I replaced them. Next day my seat warmer bulb was out... going tomorrow to purchase more bulbs again. Replace them all.

this mod is a pain dealing with all the work you must do to get to the bulbs. It is worth it. But put time aside when you start. I did them all on the Nav and climate control buttons, I gotta go back and finish.
