there's no adjusting, it's the clutch that you need to change to get it to grab lower...

I have an ACT street sitting in the garage, but no money for a flywheel yet. The engagement and everything is still good, but I don't like the pedal feel... Maybe the ACT will help... Can anyone suggest a good 11-12 lb flywheel?

Rowland, I drove a 3.0 accord that my buddy has, and it was really light...

i ran a clutchmasters stage 3 with an aluminum ?fidanza? flywheel. chattered like no other at idle, sounded like straight crap but eventually it went away. i didnt have to depress it but less than inch to get in gear

8lb? I heard anything under 10lb isn't good for a DD... Do anyone know the weight of the stock flywheel? I don't want to go too light...

I've noticed this. Sometimes I have difficulty driving other ppls cars because the gas pedal feels too flimsy. I end up smashing it down and peeling out or something like that.

The ones that are really easy to push are most likely the ones that have electronically controlled acceleration. But yeah, i've noticed ours is pretty hard to press down as opposed to other newer cars too.

I think the 8lb is fine, i've never heard of it being bad for the car. My car runs great with it.

What I heard was that a flywheel less than 10lb would let the car rev much quicker than is "desirable" for a DD. Not that it's bad for the car, just the fact that the quick rev's would be undesirable... I already think that the car revs pretty quick, and I don't want to decrease the time that 1st and 2nd gear last...

Hmmm..the car does rev kinda quick, but i like the fact that it does. I've also grown used to it already. I also have an H23 instead of an F23, so maybe that has something to do with it also.

lightened flywheels will increse engine responsiveness but will cause extra vibrations and possible crankshaft failure.

you decide.

What kind of time frame are we talking about for this type of thing? Also, does lighter mean quicker/more damage?

basically...the whole point of a lightned flywheel is to increase how fast the revs build. for performance. so if you're extracting performance from you car regulary (track, auto-x, drag), you're risking engine wear/damage. which most tuners are aware of.

in a DD i wouldn't worry about it but if you aren't going to be on the throttle all the time, why get the lightned flywheel?

I dunno what is lightened, since I can't find the weight of the stock flywheel... Any ideas? Plus I've found everything from 8lb up to 12lb, and I'm not sure what's going to do what rev-wise...

Yeah, I couldn't pass it up. Now I just need to figure out which camber kit to buy. There's a few different Ingalls kits and I have no idea which one I should get because they all say 90-97 Accord.

I'm hoping to get these soon to install before the weather gets brutal. I know it's kind of stupid with winter coming, but I CANNOT deal with my noisy pro-kit anymore. It's miserable.

The clutch pedal freeplay can be adjusted at the master cylinder from inside the car by loosening the 10MM locknut and turning the engagement rod.

I don't think this pic is from a CL, but the setup is very similar.

It only takes a few turns of the rod to make a big difference in the way it engages. Try it out and see if it helps.

Are they the ones that don't have bushings?

This is the set I was looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...AQ:MOTORS:1123

no, skip that camber kit. it will bang and bend your shock towers if your low enough. and if you're not that low, you're prolly riding the same heigh as the drop you have now.

So, I'm pretty sure someone just tried to brake into/steal my car out of my driveway... I was standing in the kitchen making a pizza with my dad, and my alarm starts going off. My keyfob was downstairs in my room, so the panic button didn't get pressed. Dad went out and saw a big truck driving down the street... Coincidence??? Called the police, and they said just make sure you don't have anything visible in the car (which I don't) and fortunately didn't seem to care about the illegal tint... Either way, figured it was an interesting story...

^^sucks man. my mechanic got jumped a few nights ago closing down his shop. hit him in the face with something knocked him out cold before he got to his gun. sucks how shitty people try to go about doing shitty things to other people. if you can put it in the garage or pull it into your yard. every little thing helps to make your car less desirable to a thief helps. i wont go into my security setup but it begins with a garage. you could sleep in the car if your that paranoid theyll come back....

My alarm went off for no reason last week, which just doesn't happen. I already have some anti-theft strategies that I won't go into, but it still worries me. I also had a dream my car was jacked, so it has me on edge a little bit.
