haha on cold days it's atleast that here without the windchill, our coldest temp i've seen this year was -52ish overnight with the windchill, mornings being as cold as -47ish
but we don't get the snow you guys do , my uncle lives in oakville and he absolutely hates the amount of snow you guys get there, especially this year

story time..

my friend's pontiac sunfire was hit the other day. no note or anything. all that was left behind was this light piece and a small piece of the fender.

we were able to match the light and fender to the rear of a GMC Envoy/Envoy XL.

so we drove around for about an hour, hitting all the major apartment complexes, looking for a damaged Envoy. no luck.

then, a resident at my friend's house said that he frequently sees a red envoy with NY plates parked next to their house. the house next to my friend's belongs to the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

keeping this in mind, i remembered a brother i met earlier in the year, who is in said frat and is from area code 607, central NY. using the frat's chapter website, we found there were 2 people from NY in the frat. then i asked a brother in my building, and he said that the brother i met, jordan, drives said envoy.

so, we went to the Harrisonburg Police Department and filed a report. My friend gets a call from an officer this morning. the officer found the suspected vehicle, and sure enough the driver was jordan. he confessed to hitting my friend's car, and is now being charged with a hit and run.

pretty decent detective work, huh?

this is the damage to the sunfire. anyone think its totalled?

why did he run, if he knew you guys, or lived near you, he simply could have paid out of pocket or if need be went to the insurance, but it wouldnt have been a big deal.. , gl with the sunfire, hopefully he picks a new car.

i dont know why he didnt leave a note or anything. if he did, we probably wouldn't be pressing charges or anything. its his mistake, and he's going to pay for it.

moral of the story. don't hit and run

Lexus update!

i know earlier i said the car was a 95, but my new intel states its a 1992. Same color, miles etc.

We'll probably have the car by next week. He's working on the car this weekend. it needs a new power steering hose, and the memory seat is messed up. all in all it will cost $4500, with 90k miles.

either replace the relay or bring it in somewhere warm for awhile. although it might be completely dead by now.

I said typical, and I know what's in your sig, doesn't mean they're all the same, but most frat guys I've encountered over my last 10 or so years of life have all essentially been the same personality

so guys dont drive recklessly while drunk. better yet dont drink and drive.

so after going with my 2 friends to some dive go go bar in town. my friend wanted to take his boosted DC4 integra for a spin on rt. 9 right by our houses. i decided to go home, smart move. so my friend went around a notorious turn for crashes doing 120. he looses control hops up the curb and crashes into a sunoco gas station. luckliy for him and my other friend they hit those N-shaped steel bar protection the gas pump.

so all the work we've done over the past month is all gone down the shitter. re-building the motor, wire tuck, suspension. hardly any of the car is salvagable to part out. thank God they were wearing there seat belts and thank God i wasnt in the back seat. my whole day is runined. this sucks so much.

dude he just sent me a pic of the car and its so painful to look at. spending countless hours building this car in a freezing garage, and then this happens. it sucks cuz the whole time we were at the bar we were talking about all the plans for it, and predicting 1/4 times etc. then that happens.
