I saw a build show on Speed channel, where one of the teams used something like this on an HHR... The idea seems good and all, but I'd still be skeptical... Just me though...

The STS turbo's are actually pretty damn reliable.
A friend of mine made a kit and it works damn well. He boosts 8 psi on his 98 trans am and I have to say at 8psi its scary as hell...
BTW, with their system, you dont need an intercooler. They say that with the amount of piping that they use from the rear to the front works the same way as a intercooler.
My friend reported the same intake temps on his TA with no intercooler as other people have with turbo's and superchargers on their TA's...
What I mean is that the piping acts like an intercooler somehow or another.
I will actually be looking into this in a matter of weeks... The turbo's in my Supra died but I know that one of them is still good so I might be using one of them...
Oh and as for whats up with me and whats new...
My tranny in my CLS6 died
bought a totaled car to rip the tranny out of it and put it in the CLS6
Will be parting the rest of the car...

the only problem is that we would need to get an oil pump from like a porsche 914/944 or something because they have an external pump. Those damn things are EXPENSIVE however they are the one and only things that can push the oil to the turbo and back...
#2256
where is....
from what i've gathered thru research, looks like any electric oil pump will do.
and that sts includes the oil system in their kit.

it just depends on what kind it is...
I dont doubt that they send you a good one, just I want to make sure that anything I put on the car will last for a while...
The kit that my friend made used the porsche pump because of the higher pressure...

oh and the other problem is rain...
depending on where you put the filter, you will either suck up water or not. My idea was to drill into the trunk and stick the filter into the trunk but that defeats the cool air. pull and will get loud in the car. The other idea I had was to stick it in the wheel well but use a splash guard so as no water gets in there.
I guess its one of those things where you have to mount it and see where you can stick the filter to and get it out of the water/rain...

as for the video, and the 533rwhp, and 521 ft tq, i call bullshit. it says that in the video, but no where in the video does it show a single number or sheet. it just says that. and if u watch
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQVPYDkPQzA
presumed to be the same car, it says 320. you cant believe everything you hear.

those are 2 different Z's. this guy is the one who claims over 500rwhp, watching that dyno i believe it. my co-workers mr2 is close to 550rwhp and has the same boost consistency as that Z.
http://www.youtube.com/user/CMyTailsBlink
i dont expect anywhere close to that hp without building internals, but if i do go for it im expecting around 350whp

As for crazy Z's, I saw this 8 second Z run at the Import Faceoff in Columbus. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxQi_cv364U
I was actually standing next to the dude from the first film clip while he took it.

Mom why is there two?
I have installed one of those sts turbo's in a ford f-150 very easy works very well. We had it done in like one day. They sound alot like my car cus the turbo's are so close to the end of the pipes. The only shitty thing is the oil lines, long way's for oil to go and you have to pump it back up to the car. If I remember that came with the kit. They also get covered with road shit pretty easy, they are at the very back of you car and at the bottom.

I love getting stares from other CL owners (usually much, much older). My car isn't even that done up, but you can tell they're thinking, "That's my car... but... it looks so different."
Got my aux adapter yesterday. I hope I have time this weekend to rip the radio out after work.
