so my insurance company took away my free rental car yesterday cuz they said the bodyshop is taking too long to paint my car, so now i'm car-less untill the middle of next week sometime, but on the brightside i will have the cl back, it'll be looking better than ever, and...it'll prolly be debaged too
#2282
i like acura
if your insurance company is supposed to give you a car until your cars fixed, i wouldnt go carless. id go back and rip the manager a new one until they gave you what you pay for every month if its in the policy. just my .02

^ya that's what the case is, the body shop has had my car since last monday, and based on the amount of work my insurance company would assume it would be fixed in a week or so, and now it's almost two weeks.
and the only reason i'm putting up with this from the bodyshop is because they do good work and they're fixing my rust etc. for free. The shop just repainted my bro's 08 tsx in the stock dark grey color, and it looks pretty damn good. so that's basically why i went to them, and also this guy i know and also who is friends with my bro is working on my car, so i know he'll do a good job

my car has been at the shop since wednesday. im praying nobody happens to spot my car there. like really praying cus im seriously paranoid after having my spl vehicle taken a few years back.
knock on wood too.............. i just hope all the work is done and done right. im not so worried about them getting in the trunk and removing things. but just whats in the cabin of the car alone is enough to make me freak if it got taken.

well long story short never go off roading with 4 12"s in your trunk it tends to blow out shocks. also managed to get my front left axle boot in the process and I needed to finish swapping out the front suspension for all new parts, inner tie rods were the last thing for me to do. also im refinishing my rims in black, swapping out the passenger seat for a newer one, rewiring some of my system, redoing my trunk setup a bit, wet sanding buffing and polishing my paint, new tuner lugs, and a few other ninja projects. I gave up my bucs tickets so that I could get my car fixed I've basically ran out of ideas for things to do that wont cost me a few grand. I want to turbo the thing but i have a weak sauce automatic. i would swap the motor but i also have to do the 5 speed conversion (not something im too familiar with) and this is also my DD.

Installed the AUX adapter yesterday, and did LEDs in the cup holders. However, one of the cheap ass bulbs from superbrightleds broke already, so I need to redo one of them before I do the write-up.
The BlitzSafe AUX adapter is great though, really easy to use and install.

blind, offroading?in your cl, i don't offroad mine and i only got 2 12's in the trunk.lol well the closest thing to offroading will be my canadian winter driving, and that's not even too bad. i hope that you're only gonna paint the face part of the rim black and leave a chrome lip. and i would like to hear the story of why you went offroading in your cl
#2291
^^i was doing something i shouldnt have been doing and i needed to turn around very quickly. i dont know if the front right rim is even salvageable or not i will be finding out in a few days, but i probably have to sell them to some unlucky schmuck after the repaint. it will have a polished lip or silver lip or something im not sure yet...

Blind, your wheels were chrome weren't they? Are you still having them painted that black chrome that you posted pics of? If so, I'd assume there's a way to cover the lip to save the chrome finish that's on there now. And if so, I do believe that would look pretty freaking sweet...
#2293
^^my rims are chrome but im probably going to get it removed for some kind of 2 tone effect just not sure but im going to paint them myself for the time being until i cant get them done professionally.

Offroading in a CL? Don't offroad unless you have something like this

That's what I'm saying. Try to keep the chrome on the lip (by covering it or whatever) so that when you get done painting (or powdercoating, etc.) you keep your chrome lip on there with whatever paint, powdercoat, etc. you choose to put on the spokes of the rim. If you wanna get it peeled off, go ahead, and I'm not even sure if they could save your current finish or not, but I'd think it would be easier to just cover what's already there and finishing part of it, rather than taking everything off and then re-finishing part one way, and part another way. This should be easy if you're going to paint them yourself, just tape off the lip when you blast, sand, etc. the chrome off. just my

Driver side window reg is dying/dead, someone scratched my front bumper, probably about a couple inches long, i rubbed most the paint from the other car off. Too bad i dont know who/what did it. Front lip is still fucked up. basically my cars going to hell down here.

^ sounds shitty zero, and for your window regulator, does your window go slower when it gets to the bottom of rolling down, or how do you know it's going bad? cuz mine's been doing that since i got the car a few months ago, but it only happens sometimes for me, and for the last while it's been almost perfect.

well mines happened to me twice now i believe and when it starts to go it'll start going down very slowly or itll just die. like mine died on the highway i tried putting my window back up and it wouldnt budge. got to my exit, put gas in her than started her up and the windows went up. the worse thing you can do is put it all the way down if its broken cause then if it doesnt go back up and you park outside, your screwed.

Give me a design and it'll be done... He also has an embroidery machine and screen printing equipment so he can do shirts, hats, you name it... If anyone wants anything, just shoot me a message, and I'll see what I can cook up...

yes i know, I do vectors in Adobe Illustrator. It can be resized to extreme dimensions and still not lose clarity because its based off a math format which resizes and doesnt pixelate, unlike bitmap designs. I can do whatever file type you'll need.

That's it exactly... He can also put ridiculous, multicolor images via heat press, but they don't last as long, so we don't do as many of those... But they do allow for more elaborate pictures etc. He's looking at getting some new equipment that is basically a printer for shirts, but they're expensive as all get out, so who knows... Like I said, if anyone wants anything, just shoot me an image, and I'll see what I can do...

Low and Slow
Ran over some kind of animal (already dead on the road) on my way to work last night. Check engine light came on immediately after so I'm assuming I either dented my oil tank or knocked one of my o2 sensors loose. And I have to go and get new tires put on tomorrow. Negative camber FTL

so i got my cl back today from the bodyshop, and i was pretty happy
cuz they painted it black sapphire metallic from BMW(which is black with white and blue pearl) and it looks great
but then i got home and noticed that when i go to unlock the car, the driver's side door lock doesn't open all the way, and then the car locks itself again(and this is when i try and unlock with my alarm) so i try with the key and it's pretty hard to unlock, so i try to open the lock manually from inside and i notice that is super hard to open and it never clicks open like it should, and also i saw that the woodgrain around the lock is cracked in two places right above the lock that i never noticed before

^^ I dunno about really stiff, but I know I have a little play in mine before it does anything... The clutch is the same way... Anyone know how I could adjust the clutch so that the engagement time is less than what it is now? It seems like it takes forever for the clutch to engage as of now, and I can't stand it...
