The ride is great. It's fairly stiff, but not bad or bone-jarring. I'd call it "sporty." My girl said it's "kinda bumpy," haha. I haven't been up to high speeds now that the back ones are on, but even with just the fronts the body roll is just about gone. Once I have some money again I'm taking it to a shop to get it aligned and the camber kit installed because the bushings need to be pressed out.

Would you be able to put something in the n00b guide regarding the D2's? The brake line clips that they include are far too short. You either need to add on to them, or do what I did and secure the brake lines with zip ties.

because the compressor we had didn't fit the front springs. so me and Playaha8ta had to ghettolized it. lol we lost an allen wrench because of it. FYI don't do it. if you do make sure you have some strong shit. ours broke.

hahaha..man, that sucks. glad you didn't get hurt.

we tried to use a coil spring compressor saturday to compress my front springs. that was a bad idea. The one we had was forked with the rod through the middle. we put the forks through the rungs of the spring and around the strut rod. If you can picture it in your head you already know how bad of an idea that was. it started slipping off of the spring as we were compressing it. I comressed the spring about an inch and a half and I decided to release it and wait until today to bring it to a shop. i bet i could have used about 20 or so zip ties to hold it

I'm getting some sort of banging sound from my right front. It doesn't happen when i'm on the accelerator, it'll happen if i'm braking and let off the brakes while i'm not on the accelerator. Then from a dead stop, 1 hard knock when the car starts moving. Any clue to what it could be?

I had a tie rod rotted out once, but it got progressively worse the more I accelerated, especially around 60, when i got it check out, my wheel was about to fall off. Definitely have your stuff looked at.

I just drove the most retarded car today, bar none.
My buddy picked up a swapped 2000 Integra.
Fully fuilt JDM Type R engine, High Compression pistons, Toda Killer Cams,Indivdual Throttle Bodies, Stage 3 clutch, Short Shifter, DC header into straight pipe, no Cat exhaust....all slammed on Skunk2 Coilovers and Falken Azenis tires. Also a fully gutted trunk and CF hood.
It's funny how it's got a Type R cluster and if you shift at the stock redline, 8.5K IIRC, you almost fall out of VTEC. It redlines at 10K. Completly amazing. My car feels like a Geo metro in comparison.

You just use a heavier guy to put his weight on the spring, while the other one takes off the bolt up top.

wow, I have spring compressors and don't even need them for anything, zip ties just seem a bit flimsy to me, i must be the only member left on here that remembers dustbuster's stitches on his forehead from uncompressing a spring

SOOO back to car stuff... I need to soften my D2s up a bit, but I'm already scraping the lip during normal driving (PA roads FTL) so I need to be careful not to go too soft. MFer handles like a dream though, it's obvious these are racing springs.

No, no idea. I'm going to try to contact D2 directly or a popular D2 dealer to see if they know.
