AEM FI/C 1910 will do everything you need... as far as i know.... you can retard timing, control vtec, fuel pulse/length.... throw in some RSX-S or RDX (slight modification needed) injectors, and you are good to go...

maybe even drop in a walbro 255 pump... or something larger
AMEN!

everyone has ther own opinion fleabay turbo thats for rookies i would go with a built motor and a custom twin turbo setup but this could go on forever bottom line 2gs for a tune with the right setup is worth it

Haha thanks

i've done my H/W on this.... Boomslang is willing to make me the harness... and i was ready to start tuning my N/A engine, with the bigger injectors... but with the FI/C, you cant advance timing.... only retard it (with the 3G TL)... so an N/A tune, is kinda pointless... but if you are F/I ..... this unit seems to be what to use with the 3G TL / 7G Accord Engine

i was sooo ready to make the commitment, to boost my TL-S this summer.... INSTEAD, i'm spending a week at the Atlantis Royal Tower in the Bahamas lol.... i know, i know.. bad decision... but cant have both this summer

I have been in this forum for a long time, mostly reading not posting. I think it is very funny how everyone tries to get all this power out of this car that just won't let you with out spending alot of money. I have a 04 TL A/T and wish I got something else. Not enough H/P, paint don't match vibration up front, everyone knows the rest. Will not buy the new one, it seems to have the same problems, and ACURA wants to move upscale, only in there dreams.

You guys would be more than happy to know that at this time, there is more than one Turbo kit being built for our cars. Both set up are using the same major parts but with different set up.
On my set up, like you all have read, the turbo is underneath while in the second set up, it is located in the engine bay. Due to the prior agreement with my builder, he'll have to post the pictures after editing. I had to push him into letting me reveal some of the specs
On the second set up, a website has been set up and a lot more than turbo kit are being made. This could be and is been done and we are having more options to power up our cars.
This link will satisfy some of your curiosity

By the way Thanks you Rodney

On the second page, you wanted to know how to post “photos of the e-management that we just received and some more toys that were build at the shop”. What happened to those? Then on page four, you don’t have time to answer every single question about the kit. Seems to me, your whole demeanor changed when it was pointed out you couldn’t do all the engine tuning you needed with the management system you had, which you have YET to say whether or not you’ve overcame. If you haven’t, then say so. That’s all anyone here really wants know. It’s been said numerous times in the thread, the fabbing is the easiest. But if you’re not twerking the engine, you ain’t doing jack. So stop BS-ing with links to a website that say they have a “tuned ECU” but oddly enough haven’t come to this website once to let anyone know about it, likely due to them not overcoming the management issue either. I see in your post that you're thanking Rodney. Can he read this? Is he here? He needs to post in this thread on the progress of his setup. Photos of a turbo in the engine bay are crap. I wanna see a photo of the engine management tool. If ya got time to come on here and tell us you had a wreck in a car that was NOT the TL, then you can type four more words: I did/didn’t overcome it.

Man, people like you just really piss me off. If you didn’t want all the questions, if you don’t care what anyone thinks, if you didn’t plan on showing anything off until AFTER the car was done, THEN WHY THE F DID YOU START A THREAD PEAKING INTEREST BEFORE YOU WERE DONE? Fuking ashole.

Yes, I have 6 7th gens out there running the FIC, the only issue was the boomslang P&P harness was all screwed up so I now just wire them myself using a extension harness, I hope BS has gotten it right now.

paul, can you be more specific on what boomslang screwed up, regarding their PnP harness?? obviously you've seen one first hand to determine that, so did you have to re-route a couple of wires that were out of place?

only trouble ive seen with mine is being able to adjust vtec engagement. other than that, it was tuned good. only thing i complain about the FI/C is surging at idle and a flashing cel from time to time at WOT. i did my research and it seems im not the only one to complain about that either. shawn at church says its a problem that is common with this unit and AEM hasnt done a thing to resolve it

im back to using my good ol reliable greddy ultimate with just a a/f tune for now, until i can figure out whats going on with it. if it is a harness issue, id love to get some input from you.

It's there. I saw the car in person and the setup looks awesome. The rear cylinders merge with the front cylinders so there is a single pipe running into the turbo. The merge is under the pipe. I can't wait for him to get this tuned so I can really check it out.

The surging idle I have only seen when cold and has to do with the map sensor connection, one of these days when I get some time I am going to play with some filtering on the line. VTec is easy, I covered it on here is USSIs thread, hooking up a relay on the ECU side of VTec and the VTec pressure switch to completely remove VTEC from ECU control and fully control it thru the FIC.
The big gotcha is the O2 sensor modifier signals, the unit was originally desighned to work with "Voltage Change" (0-5) O2 sensors, our cars use "Current Change" based sensors, if you goto AEMs forums and look up the 06+ Civic SI you will see what also has to be done for our cars.

As far as Boomslang, of course they don't have the relay in thier harness to keep the ECU happy while changing VTec, they connected the O2 sensor modifiers to the secondary O2 sensors so it did not hide added fuel from the stock ECU and they also did not have the Crank/Cam sensors right.

I too would love to use the EMU, but again there is the issues with our crank sensors and I still hove not been able to get the tooling to fab another crank sensor that the EMU would be happy with, not to mention Greddy support is alot worse than AEM, at least when I call AEM I get to talk to a fairly knowledgeable person.

any additional pictures? and I agree gt35r's are $1k+ a pop

306 on an accord is nothing tho...

what we all want to know is what are you using for tuning... no one cares about fabbing a turbo... hell richie v6 can fab a turbo for $1000 bolt on a china t3/t4 and be done for $1500 shipped... but like I said if there is no tuning no one will buy

it is intereseting when I see people driving around a $35k+ car when new and throwing a $1,500 kit on there cars...lol with white smoke coming out their exhaust from ebay turbo. A 98-2002 accord with intake and exhaust header etc.. lays down maybe 200whp so 306 whp 100+ gain on min boost is pretty effective since the s/c kit Ive seen accord after accord lay down 240ish on my dyno.. My tl customers typically have 911s gt40s and zo6s in their garage as weekend cars so they dont mind spending the money for quality. The tl kit with gt35r and front mount has laid down over 400whp on pump gas and a comptech fmu. its all about quality turbo and intercooler not the ebay special crap) they create so much heat you need larger injectors fuel managment etc etc.. because everything is so heat soaked. That is why every one has issues tuning these cars they use inferior intercoolers and turbos so your intake temps by the time they are going into that throttle body is seriously aroun 150 plus i have seen it with my own eyes. Furthermore good steel u bends and quality aluminum u bends to make a nice kit can cost upwards to what your talking about for the whole kit again not talking about ebay u bends here. im not trying to get anyone going here everyone has their own way of doing things and ive had to learn the hard way my self a couple of times, but i have been doing this for a long time around fifteen years now but my wifes car is a perfect example/proof. anyone is more than welcome to check it out. no detination factory injectors and a 255 walbro pump with comptech fpr cold plugs j32a2 motor. if you want to go any higher than were her car is now yes then its injector time and emange which i have had great success with also but typically 400 to the wheels in a daily driver keeps most my customers happy. Thx for your Time guys I am new here and have always stayed off these boards because they tend to some times get pretty tense) I dont like drama..lol

It's good to have you on here. I agree with you completely.

The GT35r is a great turbo, in my world, we've made 450+ at the wheels with stock-like spool, literally full boost in by 2,600rpm or sooner. I've always thought this would be very nice for a stockish TL but didn't think anyone had actually done it before.

Couldn't agree more on your points about quality. If you're going to do it, do it right, no Chinese e-bay crap turbos. No inefficient intercoolers, no necked down bends that kill pressure ratios and increase heat, etc.

so basically you modified the BS PnP harness to work correctly with our cars? if so, can i send you mine and rewire 02 sensors correctly, install relay for vtec etc,..??

Yes, but you will need to tune the O2 re-mapping before you can drive her.

j32a2... thats the 2nd gen tl... not the 3rd... dude seriously your paragraph was a big old uneeded post... I know what a damn turbo is and wat it could put down since I've been messing with 4banger honda's since I was 18...

its not the same... and I really don't beleive you just using a damn comptech pos to run a 3rd gen tl on turbo boost... sorry...

regardless of the fact don't try and school me on turbo bs cuz its falling on deaf ears...

ps. magnaflow U bends are $20 a pop... and they hold up to 850hp/590lbs tq on a local dudes ride
