the lip looks nice and aggressive. i wonder how the fitment is on that and the strength. for $100 bucks i bet it would crack easily if it bottoms out haha.

Yeah it was cold and unpleasant out. I wish I had known about this thread earlier because then I would've actually be excited for this meet and would've definitely showed up for the early party and cruise. No 2G TL love other than mine.

Vin I used Optimum Opti-Seal (2 coats) then topped with p21s Concours Wax for that extra rich shine. Seriously if I had the chance to wash my car and do a quick detail spray before the meet my car would've looked brilliant.

Darkness I'm really looking forward to seeing you KBP TL-S in person. I bet it's real nice. I'd like to feel a quick spin in it, see how it feels compared to mine.

 

ziner meet, im thinking 2nd weekend of july so 9th or 10th? does that work for everyone? its a month away, should be enough time for ppl to get the day off!!! and it'll be at sylvan lake... we'll discuss the bbq further once we have enough ppl confirmed.. im gonna post it in the calg, edm meet thread, please post on there if ur coming or not, get these calg guys to actually commit to it too.. lol

Myron, when you pulled that resonator out of the intake, was there a significant difference in sound? All I can find is cold air intakes, and I want a short ram, not going to pay extra for pipe that im not going to use! Found one injen shortram kit, but its for you damn 3.2 guys :P

Darkness: Yeah Kev shot my car, he's been my buddy since high school. There's way more than those 3 shots so I'm hoping I'll see the rest soon. He's just busy with a lot of things. The full set of three that are up are in my garage album along with my own.
Also, don't waste your money with a short ram intake man. You need to pull in colder, denser air outside of the engine bay. A short ram is worse than the stock intake with resonator removed. Before I got my Icebox intake I had a non resonated intake and it roared, no res makes a big difference in sound.

I'd say go CAI or just leave it stock with a K&N filter/no resonator Also! Sanjay I've read your blog before and just realized it. Your 240 is a beaut, I've seen pics before. Too bad it won't be running this season.

I already have the 9th booked off my bro's birthday so I could probably make it out to that meet haha.

 

3.2 intake and 3.5 is exactly the same. And yea there is quiet bit of a sound difference. Only at wot tho, so otherwise you don even know it's there. I wanted to make my own intake, you'd get same results as from any other bouth one, and it's a lot cheaper.

speaking of intakes i believe arthur ordered a short ram from ebay. he got jealous after hearing the sound of my car :P! gotta love the 6MT

Only reason why I want a short ram, is because I winter drive my TL. Having a cold air in winter is a big no no as everyone knows, and its a pain to change out to stock box every fall. Iunno, we will see I guess, and thanks about the 240! Its come a long way, only to be broken yet again haha.

I was reading up last night, the 3.2's have a map sensor built into the throttle body where as the 3.5\s have the map sensor built into the intake pipe. Lame. Im wot wherever i go

guys i got a question, is it possible for v tech to stop kicking in? and what would cause it? and possible fixes?

 

...i think there is a possibility for the vtech to stop working but it has to be all internal and dont think the car would run! However it could be controlled by the ECM because it is just a hydraulic piston which moves/slides on the cam-shaft over riding the rocker arm and keeps the intake/exhaust valves open longer after a certain rmp! 3rd gen TL is 4500 i think.

 

Yes, low oil, or v-TEC solenoid fucked off possibly.
