I have these 2 rock chips on right above the windshield that are showing some rust and I don't know if I can clean that up properly before putting the vinyl on, and i wouldn't want to have that stuff under there spreading. But if I were to get that fixed, and then wrapping it, it might be more expensive, so I was thinking just getting it all sanded down, and getting it painted. But I will still go to a shop and ask what they think how much it's gonna cost to get it done.

I'll just try painting it myself and putting 3M over it. Seeing as how it's such a subtle lip and my front end isn't in the best condition, it won't be a big deal if the paint job isn't perfect. I most likely won't be installing until next spring since winter is right around the corner and I don't want it to get destroyed.

Hey guys, wife's car is an 06 WDP TL, pretty much stock besides 08 fog light mod, some LEDs and lip spoiler.
I'm in Riverbend, seen a few nice TL's around here. I also have a 350Z and GC SRT8 that's modded, so keeping these rides top notch takes most of my time!
If any of you WDP'ers have changed to different skirts, I'm looking for a base model pass side front. See you around!

I ebayed mine. Beware though, my plastic lenses cracked and I have to change them out again. I'm researching some of the protective film that hopefully won't brown. We'll see...

You can grab some sandpaper and wrap it around your finger to sand off the rust. Or use a dremel with a cone sanding piece and grind that rust spot off. Spray some self etching primer into a cup and use a toothpick to apply and fill up the sanded area. Then put on a few thin layers of touch up paint with another toothpick and the area will be good to go for vinyl.

@Sanjay - No idea for any cheaper solution other than oem part: http://www.oemacuraparts.com/parts-c...-fuel/foglight
@Justin - Try West Side Acura parts. Apparently you can get them there for $4 something a piece. Unless of course they've changed their price. I had to pay $17/piece from a vendor.
@Jeff - The subtle lip looks much better!
