**OFFICIAL RLX THREAD** Update p.14: Prod. car to debut in LA 11/28

^^ I was getting at the same point as TonyCD was getting at. For someone to claim, and I quote: "..This car is fantastic" That is a pretty strong argument to make unless a person has actually driven it, but the question is, who has? Unless you are closely tied to Acura or the media/dealership, no one can make that claim yet. To me, it seems off for someone to have joined for over one and a half year and not make a single post until now.
In any event, I am eager to drive one and see if this car is as good as what Acura claims it will be
3.5RLv-tec.....I agree with you. I am not sure why people always compare an Acura to a Honda but never does the same for Audi, Lexus or Infiniti.

It's worth noting that we have been asked NOT to discuss the driving experience for now.

^^ I do understand Colin. I know you have been one of the very fortunate who has and I am eagerly awaiting your views on it once the embargo is lifted.

I found this story on Car and Driver about the Audi A8 and being Audi's flagship model, this is not an overly exciting car with oh hum design language, both interior and exterior in my opinion. Quite frankly, this makes the RLX quite sexy and desirable in comparison.....

Now I will say that Audi S5 would be on my shopping list....I'll take one in white please

Personally, I think that A8 is jaw dropping sexy! By far the best looking flagship when compared to the other german models in its class. And the s8 is just on another planet!

^^ I appreciate the cordial approach to the "agree to disagree" part I wish everyone would be as polite. No two people will ever see things the same way, and while I am not saying the A8 is ugly, but compared to the rest of the Audi line up, it is quite subdued which is what I was trying to get at....using that analogy, that could explain why the RLX is somewhat subdued as well and they'll put more the pizzazz on the RLX and lower models. Again, I highly respect everyone's opinion and was simply expressing mine

I put the color matrix and model information on my site:

We don't have the color chart, but at least you can see what combos are available in which trims.

Suzuka Master
I can' believe they are keeping Forged Silver Metallic.
What color is the Show Car in the RLX at Chicage Auto Show, sure does not look like Graphite Luster? Unless it was those bright lights on it, as the gf's TSX in Graphite Luster is darker under normal sun.

Graphite Luster on the right and Black on the left.

And I kinda think the Acoustic side window glass, and sunshades are a a must for all trims, as they are simple features and minus well be built in with the car.
I mean.. thats 2 different types of glass to be used and made on the same car, along side 2 different door panels to make.. Thats more cost!
Overall, everything looks acceptable.

Colin...Oh you are a lucky man!! I would love to be in Honolulu at the moment, one to get rid of our harsh winters and lay on the sand surrounded by gorgeous women *sigh* and also, to be able to test drive the RLX I guess the embargo on the "driving impression" should be lifted soon I assume?!

It is the advance package on the left and tech package on the right. As far as I can tell the only way to tell the difference between these two are to look for the parking sensors on the bumper.
Haha Weather, Yes, and we have the highest gas prices in the nation, the worst traffic in the nation, and are probably in the top 10 for highest cost of living. But hey, it's paradise!

^^Obviously, it's a dubious title that gets batted around between cities through the years. I do know that we have topped the list before.

Summer is Coming
I liked that color too. It might be "Gilded Pewter Metallic" Hope they put that on the TLX.

If Volvo can still sell this POS after nearly a decade without a full redesign:
Maybe the RLX stands a chance.
BTW, has anybody taken an RLX for a test drive at night yet? I'm wondering what visibility is like with the jewel headlights. My parents just bought a 2013 Accord Touring that has LED headlights, (albeit about half as many of them). I'm still undecided on their overall light output. They are leaps and bounds better than halogens but I didn't really feel like I could see as far down the road with the Accord's LED's as I can with either one of our Acura's with HID's.
