ok for rootbeer and mantis, neither of yall would win......

the shine of a black car is always beautiful, or for Ruf's sake, the shine of a white car can be even more blinding......

and i'm always in for a little competition, and that includes racing.........

OBVIOUSLY!!

Well, at least you aren't having to wait over a month like I am for suspension mods.

No kidding Hanzie and eman.

My record verses BMW is 9-0

2 - last-gen M3s (one manual)
2 - 328i
1 - 328ci
2 - 330i
2 - 330ci

And one Z3 with an M lable on it. It was from 50-115. Not sure it was the real deal or if it was because he had his top down, or he could drive it to the edge, but either way it was a kill.

And if any of ya'll don't believe it, ask Mantis about the race with the Vet. I was 1 car length behind from 50 to 100 . . . never more.

Maybe I have the high-performance model. The one with the Hanzie lock-up torque converter. :P

I can attest to the Vette race, RUF was pullin' on him. I wish I had the high performance model... instead I got a lemon.

I ordered my 19x8 Lowenhart BR5s today, after contacting over 25 retailers, I came to the conclusion that no one has them in stock. I gave up and decided to do the special order from Japan. Jim at Tribalpacific.com has great customer service BTW.

Not big enough! :P

I've decided that this ISN'T a race/drag car. So I'm just going to pimp it out.

Since it was paid off 2 weeks ago, I'll start lookin' at a WRX wagon.

You can buy a Cobb Spec WRX @ ~295 HP from the dealer, all under warranty. On the other hand with the CL-S, pretty much any speed mod you do kills the warranty...

A buddy of mine wrecked his WRX, got a check from the insurance company this weekend, and is now lookin' for that Cobb Spec WRX. Can't wait to take a spin in it.

Hey guys,

guess what i did tonight!!! I went off-roading in my car, Rally style, hahahaha, . I was kinda scared though, thought i would scratch something but everything was ok, except that i bottomed out once, hehe, good thing i had not lowered the car yet, which will be next weekend by the way hehe, my and my bro and friend are taking on the task of lowering my car and changing the shocks, lowering my brothers civic si, and changing the shocks and adding lift to my friend's jeep, eheh, all this in one weekend, hopefully one night too!! Anyways, the reason i had to go off roading is cause there was a nasty accident on I-30 tonight, and it was backed up for miles, and going no where for about an hour, so i decided fuck it, im cutting through the gravel and mud!!! Im a god!!

Hanzie has the official Rally Edition CL-S!

How long were you offroad? Did you just cut across the grass to get to the service road?

nah, i had to drive down a steep gravel and dirt hill, drive about 5 miles in dry mud and rocks and up a huge dirt hill to a road, i almost got stuck going up the hill, then bottomed out on something hehe, i was cursing, cause i thought i might have bent something, but i dont think i did. It was that or sit on the highway going no where for about another three or four hours at least.

We don't know yet Wakattack. Where are you in Frisco? I'm sure I've bumped into you a time or 2.
I think I've seen you @ the Tollway & 121 a few times. Satin Silver TL-S, right?

Welcome to the board BTW.

Not really a fan of chrome anymore. I had chrome on my last car.

I just like the refined/classic look that the silver gives.

Chrome is kinda 90ish IMHO.
So in short personal preference I guess.

Here is the link I found with the Lexus:
http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...=lowenhart+br5

I am trying to decide wether to go all out and spend the money
on BS5 or BR5's, or just get the inexpensive Axis Muse...
What do you think?

Heh, thats the pic I was lookin' for. I thought it was on the CL board for some reason.

I think the Axis Muse are really tight rims. I'm just a fan of those chrome lips, so I couldn't resist.

Also, one more factor: If you decide to go with the BR5s, you'll have to wait at least 2 months if not more for the +50 offset. I contacted over 25 retailers nationwide looking for them. I'm not sure what the wait is on the BS5s.

If you go with the Axis Muse rims, they should be readily available.

my 2 cents.

I've had the same problem, I've called around everywhere for BS5
everyone told me that it's gonna be 6-8 week wait b/c the ship them from o/s....
I am gonna call this one place in Dallas tomorrow, and see if they can get BR5's. That was the only place that told me that they can
get BS5 within a week. But, to be honest with you, I am not sure
if it's safe to order from the place, mainly b/c they are located on
Harry Hines...

The guy at that place told me that it will take about a month....
He quoted me 1020 for 19x8 in chrome, is that a good price?

1020 EACH?

If so, that's what most people seem to be selling them for. It is a bit on the pricey side. Of ALL the places I called, Tribal Pacific seemed to have the lowest prices. I ordered my set from them.

$866.99 for 19x8.0 chrome.

More @ http://tribalpacific.com/merchandise...130&Aisle_ID=6

I dealt with Jim Park. He is on the TL boards. I think his handle is jimster716 Great guy, didn't give me any shit, and was always looking out for my best interest.

You say the guy quoted you a month? I'm sure that is at the VERY best. Either he has got some serious hook ups, or doesn't realize how much these are on back order. I'm not saying the guy is lying, I'm just speaking from what I've heard from everyone. (who all said at least 45-60 days, max 90 days. Realistically 60+ days)
