Nope, no one's been able to clarify that issue.

Me thinks that they are losing fluid during the installation process as you have to remove some hoses and are not catching it until later.

Before we order I will talk to Outlaw directly and see what they say.

I'm overhauling the whole suspension. I have to wait until the set is overhauled and returned. Should take about a month.

Hey folks,

Here's some info on the concern over fluid loss with the Thermobloc mod . . . . turns out it may be nothing . . . and I trust Allmotor's experience on this.

read on . . .

http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/show...537#post2342537

So with that . . . I'm doing it. Unless one of the more credible guys come back and say they've found out otherwise.

Also, those of you who don't yet have the Scalbert cooling mods should consider doing that at the same time . . .

For those of you with the look, here's something to help you out.

the curse of AcuraZine. Shit makes you nutz after a while. Especially when you get out in the Ramblings forum. I seem calm and collected in this thread, but over there, a whole other person emerges, some people call it "the Chops"

It's not as bad as it sounds. Just means you start seeing dirt squirrels and asking the mailman if you can bark at his tires.

How much is it costing you ? Sending it to Zeal to do, or somewhere else ?

How often is it recommended to do ? Should it be done with all coilover kits ?

I can imagine sending mine to Tein would be like rape in a ziplock back

Hey Mark, I remember you mentioning somewhere in here about "having to get those Pullies"

Well. I have the UR Crank and Alternator Pulley, that I was going to put on the CLS 6 if I got, but since that didn't happen.

Let me know if your interested. Willing get both of them to you for a Ben Franklin.

This is the service that is done.
Generally speaking, we inspect the system making sure all internal and external parts (ie., shell casing, upper mounts, piston shaft, piston rod, shims, etc.) are intact. We also check for possible gas/oil leakage. After assessing the situation, we will routinely refill gas/oil to the appropriate levels, replace o-rings, dust boots, and clean/assemble the system.

it costs $100 per coilover, I'm sending in all 4. I'm sending directly to the manufacturer.

They recommend the service every 1-2 years, 12K - 15K miles, I'm way over that so I figured it was about time.

Yep, just shook up the two sides to get them talking again . . .

Should hear something soon, but either way I have it worked out for us.

We'll take the savings and buy beer and BBQ for the meet . . . how does that sounds?

We have 8 people so far, that would be about $8 x 8 = $64 . . . that should buy us enough beer and ribs . . . and it could be more if we get the helps to toss in a few $$ . . .

Dude . . . you got yourself a deal . .

Bring 'em to the meet and we'll settle up, unless you need the cash now.

Hey, I was at the www.thedriversedge.net run at MSR this weekend. The weather was perfect, the track fast, the STi ran well, and I have advanced up to the red run group. This is the highest advanced run group. Pretty cool weekend.
