That's right out of the box. Comptech will only produce about 70-80 WHP. I read alot on the turbo kits, but from what i've read, not very street drivable, hence the name (drag turbo kits). Also, not very reliable. People try to run too much boost with turbo kit.

Mantis, yes it was a sad moment. And ironically I may be moving out of that area soon. Lease is up in June. AND DSL BLOWS!!!!!!!!

And who's got a Z06 these days??!? My buddy (long time DNE member) upgraded from his 03 max to an 04 Yellow Z06. He's up in McKinney. The best way to spot him is the Keith Craft sticker on the rear window. He's lowered, chrome Z06 wheels, and NO SIDE MOLDING!!! (so pretty). He's sprayin pushin 510/533 to the wheel on a 125 shot. hehe
No sheet. I'm gonna post a page just replying to stuff here and there. When is the next DNE meet?

I heard the turbos make more power but only on the top end when they spin up. I heard the supercharger gives a bigger power curve but less top end. I don't know if it is true but it makes sense...

It's pretty awesome -- my first 350.

I only have 3 complaints about the car (and I'm pretty picky):

1) The blind spots are horrendous.
2) Having an automatic sportscar with no tiptronic and no paddles sucks really bad.
3) The GM center console is an embarrassment to all nice cars. Sometimes I think I'm sitting in a Pontiac Sunfire -- until I start the engine.

I have heard similar things from other vette owners and from Road and Track articles! I think these are some of the few things that anyone can pick apart about the Vette, which, as you said, is pretty picky rather than glaring flaws in the design. For example, you never hear bad things about the powertrain or the suspension geometry!!! FYI, the other thing I have heard is that tires are expensive, so watch the burnouts until you put some green aside!!!

Good luck, RUF. I hope you can get some CT headers soon. I think you could get three tenths or more out of them...

I've pulled my offer out of the hat for those headers . . .

they say pics are worth a 1000 words . . . in this case they are not worth $650 . . .

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-comptech-headers-sold-301775/

Back to the drawing board . . .

just buy some of those OBX headers. They'll work fine and are dirt cheap. How about the alphawerks or stone ones?

I'd agree.

Only problem I had was with the gasket, and that because my dumbass didn't get new ones. But other than that, mine are perfect.
