hey, if you guys ever want to unload a crappy car go over to Carmax.
They just gave me $800 for a '87 MB 300E that had
1) transmission felt funny (old car so problem unknown)
2) the engine was REALLY loud (they said maybe a thrown rod but problem unknown)
3) brakes that were really hrad to push (problem unknown)
4) 179K miles

This is not the car, some of you may remember, I purchsed for my daughter after the incodent on I35 inwhich I lost my 1st gen CL. That car is a 01 V6 auto. She is very happy with it although she is haveing me teach her to drive a manuel. 
Beleave it or not I bought this car from a couple in Richardson, he had a Buick Grand National he raced (low 10's 122MPH) and she showed this car. She put 10K miles on it in 4 years. They have decided to leave the car hobby for a lake house in New Braunfels. Found it in the papper. Seems like a good start. The Engine, except for an intake and exhaust, is stock as well as the suspesion, except for wheels and tires.
My first mod will be this weekend. I will be putting in an adjustable panhard rod.
Whish list includes:
Tubular A-arms
New stabilizers/sway bars
Springs/shocks
Cam
long Headers
Little head work maybe.
Civic. Your close.
