Forgot to mention I also replaced the filter..

C is somewhere on the side of the transmission if I remember correctly.

I made a post regarding the delay when I first got the car, was told that a slight delay is normal so never thought anything more of it :/

Yea i'm sure it's not a complete 10 hour job but that's what the quoted me for. I'll be calling other Honda dealerships to get a quote.
C is linked to lock-up and TCC solenoid valve so it continually switches on and off. A is only linked to shifting from 1-2 and 4-5, stays on in 1st, 2nd, and 5th gear. The only link to reverse gear is an inhibitor comparison in which all valves open up. Would it have a relation to the lag, not sure without following the flow but it could. Did you replace o-rings and screens as well? What gear does it not hold?

I'm not an expert in the auto trans but I would check the shift solenoid C located by torque converter near the bottom of the case. Probably super easy access if you raise the front and remove plastic shield. The manual probably has a spec check (usually resistance, continuity or both). At minimum, remove and check for blockage.

10 hours seems like a lot. Probably super conservative estimate. I'm sure the guys in the shop do it in half the time and go for a long lunch for the rest.

I honestly think the trannys just gone at this point, atleast the torque converter for sure, especially from the loud whine its creating and hard gear shift into 2nd, gear slip even with the new solenoid and fluid.
I'll have a mechanic look over it and drive it of course but I really think its toast.

Hey man, heres my advice. I am a mechanic and have worked at a dealer for 5 years. There are two reasons that your steering gear would mostl likely need replacment. 1. Leaking fluid(most common) 2. Internal wear/slack. Most likely you just have a leak and it is causing no harm whatsoever just a tiny leak that will probably never even drip on the ground. REMEMBER... the dealer will try and sell you anything if its leaking or worn. I had my gear replaced but it was just leaking, I had an aftermarket warranty tho. If its just leaking, I wouldnt replace it unless a dinky leak worries you. One of us can look at it one day, or i can. No biggie man.

The 3G trans isnt the easiest to get out, its not extremely hard IMO but it would honestly take someone that has done it 100 times about 3 hours to take out and 3 hours to put back in. Labor times are based off of hand tools, no power tools and 1.5x warranty time. So figure it 6.66 is warranty cost(actual time it takes) x 1.5(customer pay multiplier) = 9.99 Thats how you figure out how long it will take

Will do Travis! I have a friend who's got a AAA card, need to go pick it up today but if that falls through i'll let ya know!
My dads going to meet Rob today and discuss the job before dropping the car off.

Again, appreciate all the help bud! If it wasn't for you I would probably be dropping 3.5k+ at Rusty wallis

Everyone should check out Rob's 3.7 build! https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-performance-parts-modifications-112/j37a2-build-has-begun-my-07-tl-903474/

- Much appreciated response NBP, is there any way that you could PM me your information? I may take you up on that offer if you don't mind looking at my car. As far as I know these are the Major tunes ups the car had @100k at David Mcdavid of plano:
Recommended maintenance performed
Brake fluid flushed/changed
Four wheel alignment performed
Front brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced
Rear brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced
Battery/charging system checked
Oil pan replaced/repaired
Washed/detailed
Timing belt/tensioner/idler replaced

I know of a few places, but most of them dont do quality work. Try Wheel solutions, just tell them you work for sewell or a dealer and they will charge you like $75 a wheel

Okay ladies and gents, time to stir things up a bit here in the big D! I know it has been quite a while since there has been a chapter leader, but I plan to get things going again. I know the DFW is pretty big, and there is a few of us from every direction. I think it would be cool to make our presence know more throughout the area. If you guys have any suggestions or need anything feel free to send me a PM. First off, I think it would be cool to make some shirts for the locals. If anyone likes to design or has an idea to share feel free. I have a few ideas myself, but i'll leave the details up to that later. Second, how about some AcuraZine stickers? Some of you already have some from the charity event each year, but a lot do not. I will try and get us some meets scheduled monthly now that the weather is gonna be nice. There is always some form of meet going on around town, I know the Cupcake meet is next month. I think most ppl think of a meet as a car show, but I think it would be cool to get together and just hang. Topgolf, BBQ at the lake, some stuff like that. If you guys have any ideas or requests feel free to let me know. Im here for ya, no matter if you need repairs, knowledge, mods, of whatever! Hope I get to meet more of you guys in the future! Until then

Hey Travis I just referred a customer at my shop with a 04-06 TL 6 spd to your buddy over at "Tyrffic Detailing" to get his car detailed.

I gave the customer the business card you gave me because I figured if I ever needed his information again I could just ask you for it. Congrats on becoming a chapter leader!
