As for a shop . . . well . . not really, sorry. But how you got 9 years out of yours is

Ethan, this isn't the Lotus I saw, but pretty close to the black on black theme I was talking about.

Unless you went the full CF route....

Rebuild, since that should be cheaper. I'm not looking to keep it much longer, would like it to last one more year tho.

Got married too, so even less play time.

It's just my luck that it lasted that long instead of dying sometime during the 7 year/100k mile warranty.

OK I got a grinding noise coming out of the rear driver side area. Think it is the breaks. Mark and I changed the pads last year so i don't think that's the problem. Sounds like the caliper is not letting go and just grinding on the rotor. grinds almost none stop when driving, cant be good. looked at the rotor and I don't see any groves getting cut into it yet. That rim is allot dirtier than it should be so that's has to be another clue. So ... any ideas? anyone had this happen already?

They are TE37 volks. Very light wheels and expensive.

Fade...It could be your wheel bearing. If anything your pads and everything are low but if it sounds like metal on metal either brake pad gone or wheel bearing. Two main sounds that come from that.

Danny - as for the trans rebuild your better off just buying another one if you just want it for a year. IN the end it will be cheaper if not equal cost. My friend needed to replace his accord trans but rebuilding it and buying a used one's price was negligible. If you just want it for another year I would just buy a used one. IF you want it a bit longer go for the rebuild. If you call around most trans shops should be able to give you an answer in the dallas area.

Volk TE37s.

Even in smaller sizes, these things are still running $2,000+ a set used.

Rick not to add the load, but if you get me one, I'll pay you 30 bucks instead of 25. Just an Acura one...unless there is a BMW one, then I'll pay you 45 bucks for them instead of 40...just an incentive lol.

And yea Ethan I'm coming for sure, let me know when you are going to start and I'll be there. I assume its going to be at your dad's?

BMW ones are decent, but they sell fast as shit. Since you both want one, it'll save me $10.

Yeah Ethan, I'll let you know.

Rudy's is awesome. Rick where do you get those at the fair? The auto expo area? I plan to go there this sunday.

Ethan you can buy the plugs at oreilly. I run the factory and oreilly's carries the factory plug for cheap and pre gapped.

I could maybe stop by early for an hour or two..
