yep, I learned my lesson last time.

i chose the shop that newman(nspec_ya4) recommended. the shop owner and newman are close buddies, and even i started to become friends with Joe, the shop owner.


what I think is happening is Honda shipping the parts back and fourth taking 2 weeks to get to the shop to only realize its the wrong fucking part...

Joe, no...not you butt the owner, had the car a month prior to me calling it in. he advised me to call in only the suspension damage, and said he would hook me up with the rear without claiming it.

we'll see. I dont even care any more!! lol
i just want my GD car back.

they're waiting on the insurance adjuster. the adjuster went by yesterday for an inspection. ALL OEM parts from the dealer. is sitting on body alignment machine and body already pulled.
waiting for adjuster to come back to inspect hub and bearing...(or something like that, Joe is what nauman is. whatever race they are...they talk fast)

I did. I used the NTB (of all places) in Cedar Park. They did it for book rate, 2.7 hours I think it was. No problem.

 

2.7 hours.. so they swapped them in half an hour and went on a 2 hr lunch break on your dime. Sounds about right..



You notice anything on the butt dyno after the swap?

 

I haven't heard anything bad about NTB at least. They upsell like all the others but seem pretty fair otherwise.

Oddly enough, not really. I noticed more from VSA delete and 4" intake than I did after the header install. I'm thinking I need to pull the primaries and gasket match.

 

I'm guessing the flow is already pretty good on the backend. You'll probably notice the most at the top end. I'm sure there are some gains down low but in the single digits.

 

Most shops will do a straight swap. Just call around. Also call shops who do digital alignment and see if they'll throw in the alignment for free + realignment 30 days to 1 year down the road.
