Yes I sold my car and moved over to lexus, so while I may visit often I felt it was right to pass the torch to a more active AZ member. I had nominated you as my replacement majofo, as you're by far the most active amongst the Austin members. I'll still visit and meet up at local events though.

 

pm distortedolskool (thread starter), he might be able to help install them for you. He installed my coils and also helped me raise them up for the buyer of my car. great guy and lives up north.

I have no issue with you being leader, if you feel you'll be less active here because of the lex, I can understand, but if not.. carry the torch.

Almost bought the wife an is-f.. it's her dream car, waiting for the rc-f to come out.. not to buy the rc-f, but I know the is-f price will come down.. I'm cheap.

I'd still be driving the junk Acura though.

I picked up a pearl 07 gs350 RWD with only 55k miles on it. I just ordered some BC Racing coilovers and will drop it next week. I had limo tint done Saturday and will be having it professionally detailed inside/out on Sunday. Now to drool over what wheels to get...

 

Nice.. you must have gotten a steal on it. I definitely like the interior trim. Coils and wheels will really make it standout. Please no super negative camber and VIP curtains.

yes a guy in Elgin had a 1st gen that got in a wreck, so it was nice to sell it to a person who appreciates the CL. I told him to check in here for meets.

Sure.. I just want us to have some representation so Champ doesn't go off and setup TX meets without considering us or even Dallas for that matter. We were supposed to have the Big As Texas meet in Austin again this year, then without checking with Taper or anyone else for that matter, they moved it to San Antone only to get cancelled / postponed.

Austin has a lot of events every year from ACL to F1. It's good to have a local member chiming in to let everyone know what's going down, what dates are good, and what events they might find interesting (like a F1 meetup). We can give you guys the lowdown on places to stay, eat, visit, park as well.

 

I'm still around and still having a blast driving the GTO. A bunch of imports and domestics got to the taco cabana on 360 and great hills trail on Saturdays starting at 10:30 ish. If your there and see me roll up Im in a silver GTO stop and say hi. Some people roll race and some just hand out. Anyone is welcome to come out. Brian I hate to see you get rid of your labor of love but at some point we have to move on to bigger and better things. The Austin chapter of azine is really hard to organize and always has. Who ever takes Brian's place has some big shoes to fill!!

anyone in Austin able to help with replacement of the loading Mechanism for the Navi? I think im doing it wrong ...

no my friend, I bought a new loading Mechanism. it does come with an optical laser drive. if you are familiar with the 2005 navi set up you will understand.


anyway. I think I fucked up the ribbon connector because my navi unit doesn't not get any power. it does not light up or takes the navi disc.

 

 

Judging from the lack of activity in this thread and the activity in the Houston/DFW/San Antonio threads, it looks like Austin became a ghost town for TL owners.

...which doesn't explain why I see TLs a million times a day.

Most TL owners I see are women.. and everyone knows Acurazine is a sausage party.

 

... and I don't own a TL anymore.
