I'm not personally a fan of the super yellow fog covers, but since you have the amber lights still it would add a bit more symmetry to it.

Sad to say the CL-S has been traded in for a 6.0 LS2 GTO 6 speed that has been unmolested. I was sad to see her go but yet another tranny issue has reared its ugly head and I know David McDavid wasn't going to cover it this time. She will be missed but the grin on my face when I hit the accelerator makes up for it 10 fold.

Lunch next week Kevin? The color is quicksilver with black and red leather interior and probably intake and exhaust one of these days. Car is a blast to drive as it sits.

Hey guys. I live in Dallas but came down to Austin for the weekend with my tl. I got a flat on Friday and put the spare on it. Today I was able to finally take care of the flat but I lost the wheel lock and was wondering if anyone lives around the UT campus and can lend me their wheel lock just to see if it will fit.
Acura has different wheel locks but their are only a few different ones.

I need to go back to dallas tonight but the dealership is closed so this would be my last resort.

I am willing to drive to you to try it out as well. I staying on campus.

Most shops should be able to remove the lock nut. If you really lost the lock key, might as well have all of the lock nuts removed and put on a regular lug nut until you get home.

Yah I should have asked different shops, Firestone said they were unable too. Little too late now. Guess I'll be in Austin until tomorrow ha. Gotta get up early and get the wheel put on and drive back.

Firestone.. shit, I'd have jiffy lube put air in my tires before Firestone. At least if they fucked it up, they wouldn't try to charge me $500 for it.

If you're near UT, hit up flamingo's on Guadalupe.. I've heard mostly good things about them. I do my own work so I couldn't really suggest anyone else. They should at least be fair in price.

Haha, I appreciate the help man.
I was actually able to finally located the god damn wheel lock in my kitchen cabinet.. I guess a drunk friend thought it was safe there? Lol

Firestone claimed the tire wasn't repairable so had to get it replaced.

Isn't that the truth..
How one manages to take the wheel lock key out of the car, and in the cabinet I will never know lol.
Found it when we were cleaning up the apartment.. lol

Firestone put a Primewell tire on it, really had no choice to say yes or no.

Eventually when its time to replace the other 3 i'm going to opt for top of the line tires more than likely.

Glad to have found the Austin Group!

Should be pulling the trigger on this one in the next day: http://www.ottosource.com/inventory/...EMIUM%20LUXURY

This will be my "wife's new car" as we are trading in her 97 integra. Would like to get to meet some of you guys at the events around here. I'm right here in the neighborhood behind the planet fitness at the Y if y'all still do meet ups around here.

I appreciate y'all having the community. I feel like I've picked up a ton of knowledge just in the few hours that I've been going through threads.

I was thinking so. I've probably looked at the pictures of that car 50 times, seeing as though it is in Dallas and won't see it in person until tomorrow, and never noticed that it had pinstripes .

Immediately ordered a pinstripe-removal kit. Looking forward to spending a lot of time on this site. Already picked up a ton of insight.

Which one of the Austin guys should I go ahead and deem as my mod helper?

I have no idea on mods. I'm pretty much new to all of this as I've driven SUV's my entire life.

I feel like the only aesthetic changes I'm going to make might be the instrument cluster and changing the interior lights to LED.

Still trying to read through these to see what simple performance mods I can make without breaking the bank or sending my wife through a guardrail.
