What side of town is everybody on? I never see any modded TL's just bone stock ones.

 

The guys I know with nicely modded TL's aren't on Azine. I see mostly female drivers behind the wheel as well. You'll know my TL, it's the dirtiest one in town. I try to keep the engine clean though.

 

I'm up near Lakeway. I've seen a FEW, and very very few, "modded" tls. And by that I mean, taking waffle wheels of type-s's and throwing chrome snow flakes on >.>

 

I've seen a few TL Type-S's as well around Lakeway. I own a 2010 TSX and drive it around a LOT and I've noticed that there are a lot of Acura owners in the Lakeway area. The most I've seen on a TL Type-S was the blacked out tail lights and blacked out grill.

 

Apparently I have a twin in the south austin area.

I have seen, and I don't know if he/she is on the forums, a TL-S with I think Work VS's(black) down in Grand Oaks of of Manchaca.

And the only other one I can think of is a black TL with Katana Rims and tinted Tails here at the Randalls right next to my work. Talked to the lady that owns it and she never wants to talk about mods lol

I was at the muffler shop killing off that 3rd muffler on saturday. But I'd like to do a meet up soon.

 

I've seen the same TL-S near Randalls as well, but have yet to see the owner actually lol. I've been talking to some Acura RDX Turbo owners that I've seen around the Galleria, but they don't seem to know much about their cars sadly. I recently got the special edition rear bumper installed on my TSX, so it kinda stands out in a crowd of them now thankfully.

If the Austin division has any meets anytime this month, I'd be glad to go sometime (depends on school hours unfortunately).

 

^ Yeah, no one around Lakeway knows about cars. Seen/talked to people who own SL63 AMGs and asked them about it and they couldn't tell you what make the car is.

I've heard it mentioned before, but finally went for the first time today. Every Saturday from 5-9pm, there is a meet in the Schlotzky's parking lot (old Albertsons lot) on 1431, just before 183. It was badass, wide variety of cars from 50's-70's to modern classics. Tons of American muscle but a good amount of imports too so you won't feel like we are the only ones, wide range of supras, sc400's, few Honda's and German cars. I was the only Acura but got good vibes and compliments. Nice crowd, got larger by the hour. I left by 7 and it went from 20 to 50 cars in my time there from 6-7.

If any of you all want to go, let me know. I have kids so I can't stay late, but I can go from 5:00-7:30 or so.

Yes its every Saturday. I go to another meet which is bigger than this one at the Frys parking lot on Mopac and it starts at 10:30 or 11 and last until 2:00 but be aware they like to go out and race on the toll roads but there are probably over 100+ cars out and they are a lot of ricers. I dont go there all the time but its a change of pace from the 1431 meet.

 

So I'm starting up some sweet mod ideas on my TSX, the first being some footwell accent led lighting that is on when you open the doors. Just ordered them online today and they're supposed to get here next week. The next one is a bit harder, but only because these are hard to find for a decent price, but a full set of TSX special edition rims (i think they're pretty cool for stock rims lol). And lastly, and the most fun one in my opinion, is taking the intake resonator off of my car (still seeing if this voids warranty or not, but i could always just put it back on if I need to). If yall have any other ideas, I'd be glad to hear them.
