wireless advice, currently have an iphone 3g..considering switching to tmobile G1

Hello,

ive had the iphone 3g since july. I really love the phone, but hate the bill.AND everyone i freakin know is on tmobile, including my girl...

Voice- 79.99
data- 30.00
Txt- 15.00
Corp disc. 24.00
Tax 8.00

Total monthly= about 109, sometimes 110.

Here is what id do, sell the Iphone 3g 16 gb- id get at least 350. Its actually in perfect condition and comes with a case and a screen protector so possibly higher. I will offer it unlocked if someone wishes.

I have an ATT deposit of 150. id lose that, and my contract would terminate.

id buy the G1 and stick with it.

Monthly itd be
59.99
35
-18% fedex discount
+10% tax

85 dollars a month.

i probably can get it cheaper if i dont need the extra minutes so id save about 300-400 yearly.

ALSO apparently the G1 doesnt work with the TSX Blue tooth.

So question is.

1) unlock the iphone use it with Tmobile and cancel ATT
2) cancel ATT sell iphone and get G1
3) Stick with ATT

Dont get the G1, so annoying. I had unlocked numerous iPhones for Tmobile and they work great not to mention it is $5 a month for unlimited net and email. According to modmyi.com, you will be able to unlock the 3G on new years but i doubt you will have 3G speeds on tmobile.

I personally love TMO but there is something nice about having it on ATT, visual voicemail looks pretty handy and 3G rocks

the baseband 2.28 version is delayed till late spring, its the 2.11 thats allowed. I know its a stupid move, but almost everyone i know is on Tmo and i can talk to them for free. Iphone graphics and batterylife vs G1 is like Atari Vs Ps4, and that didnt even come out yet!

G1, no doubt. Now if you were able to actually use the tmobile 3g network on the iphone, well... that's another story.

While both are 3g capable phones, Tmobile and ATT each use different 3G bands. So an unlocked iphone3g would not be able to use Tmobile's 3G network.

I am well aware that the 3g frequencies are different. Sorry but i HATED the G1 and got rid of it. it is not worth my, 113 a month + 197 for the phone +27 for 8gb card + 10 car charger + 10 for a case and it still cant do properly what an iphone does.

Although, i enjoyed the fact it can run processes in the back ground, i went from a 100% battery at 8am to a 26% battery at 1210pm!!!

that drove me insane.
