2008 acura TL P0847 code and blinking D
Recently my car started to make a swishing sound near the passenger side of the car, after that my check starter system light turned on, and then the real problem started. My car started jerking when it was driving and i could not get my car over 30miles/hr. I had a check engine light turn on and the D started blinking on my dash. Sometimes i was not even able to shift it into gear. After i checked the check engine light i found the code P0847( transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch B circuit low) & P0816( Downshift switch circuit). Has anyone ever had this problem before or know what i should do?

First check to make sure your starting system (alternator, starter, battery) are at proper levels. Sometimes a bad battery/alternator/electrical problems in general can throw some odd codes..
Then google the codes with site:acurazine.com for solutions

Any updates?
I've got the exact issue, but just the p0847 code/noise.
I've order the 3rd and 4th transmission switches per the the detailed tutorial in another part of this forum and am wondering if they shorted due to a water issue - the internet says something about a blocked act drainage hose causing this kind of stuff.
I initially thought the noise issue was my misaligned tires causing some problems (I've fit a few curbs - traffic revisions! - and am due for an alignment), then someone said it was a brake caliper that needed to be reset, and now I've got the p0847 code.
Curious what your end result was - thanks!
