Nope, no one else is using my Apple ID.

I was at someone else's house when I got that.

Previous time I was at work.

Only computer that has Yosemite has been turned off for the past week

Don't get the request at home either

I use iMessage on my mac a lot. I find it annoying that sometimes my iphone also "dings/vibrates" when I am using iMessage on my mac. Is there any easy way to make my iphone not ding when iMessage is running on my mac?

In theory it's supposed to suppress them on the device not being used. Does on mine

What I've found on mine is that if iMessage is the foreground application it will suppress the iphone alert. If it's in the background and if I don't bring it to the foreground when a new message comes in my iPhone will ding/vibrate a few seconds later. It's really annoying.

FWIW, Facebook messenger does the same thing. If I don't ACK the message in the browser, my phone will alert a few seconds later.

What I want is if I'm logged into my mac and my screensaver is not running, don't alert on my phone.

yup, you need to acknowledge the notification otherwise it sends it to your phone as well.

i think they do that in case you're not actually at your computer.. or watching pr0n...

I'm honestly thrilled with how well continuity, handoff, and SMS relay are working on Yosemite. I'm mad they broke airdrop, though.

Anyone use either the USB or Thunderbolt ethernet adapters?

They both have pretty terrible reviews...

W7>W8... for now...

Do you use either of the TB-ethernet adapters? any feelings on one versus the other? They both seem to suck.

Wait, the new MBPs (not MBA) don't have ethernet ports?

Edit: Wow they don't! I don't know how I never registered that little tidbit. That's crazy.

I have the Apple Thunderbolt ethernet adapter. Works great. The only thing I found is that if you expect handoff to work with it you will be disappointed. Handoff seems to only work with wifi.

I don't dual boot into windows so i can't comment on if that works with the adapter or not. It works fine with VMWare Fusion.

FWIW I also use an Apple Thunderbolt to DVI adapter too.

It's all about being thin, and that port is not.

See I disagree with the decision not to have it.

They sell an ultra portable model, the Air. If I buy a "Pro" anything from Apple I expect it to be loaded. But I guess that's just not how it is anymore. If anything it should come with the adapter needed.

Thanks Doopstr. Some people reported that it worked for a month and quit, but I am mainly concerned with the trouble people seemed to have with it when using it in Windows/bootcamp.

Annoyed at the auto correct in OSX. It's just as bad as iOS, need to turn it off.

Just like I said, the auto correct. It'll change words for me sometimes to something else.

I swear they do it on purpose to troll it's users.

It's not even spelling sometimes. I'd have a word I want to use and it'll change it to something completely different.

Like I said, it's like they're trolling their users.

I plugged it into my moms 2011 Mac mini. WOW USB2.0 is slow. Was getting 20MB/sec write and 25MB/sec read.

Gonna need to go internal or thunderbolt if I upgrade that one.
