interesting...
"Of course the new Apple TV gets a teardown, silly," is what we would tell you should you have the audacity to question its inevitability. But alas, we're too busy analyzing every photo of iFixit's gallery to even dignify your raised eyebrow with an unprovoked response. The site gives it 8 out of 10 in its metric of repairability, opining it might be "the most eco-friendly set-top box of all time." With that said, here are the big takeaways we're seeing so far: 8GB of storage provided care of a Samsung K9LCG08U1M NAND Flash chip, and the same one found in the iPad. Speaking of which, there's also the exact same markings on its Apple A4 processor as the iPad and new iPod touch, K4X2G643GE (not the same as the iPhone 4, as it turns out), the exact same Broadcom BCM4329XKUBG 802.11n WiFi / Bluetooth / FM chip as the iPad, and at 256MB, the same amount of RAM. Also interesting and of note are the solder pads near the side of the logic board, which look to be a perfect fit for an Apple dock connector. At any rate, with all that's under the hood, we expect the jailbreak community to have an absolute field day.

interesting...
The ipod shuffle is a 2Gb chip which IMO is too small and then the next size up is 8GB used in the nano and iPod touch.
It doesn't make sense for Apple to get a 4GB chip just for the ATV and even 4GB is a little small.

Im pushing from my windows 7 machine. I dont have any apple computers.
What it is you install a program (air video in this case) onto your iPhone and on the computer. Then on the program on your pc you just set what folders you want to share.
Back on your iPhone the app let's you connect to your pc and the shared videos and you can watch it over wifi and 3G.
Now if you got an apple TV you can push the video to it via AirPlay.
Only thing that sucks is that you need an iOS device as a middle man.
Not sure if there are any programs or what not that you can install on your pc that will do it. (im sure something will come eventually)
My apple tv is connected via Ethernet and the iPhone obviously via wifi.

Besides a safari of naked women?
I want to be able to:
Send movies or music to my receiver in the other room (preferably wirelessly),
Control the selecting, playing, etc, via a html frontend so I can use a wifi handheld (Touch, phone, etc) as a remote and just assign a static IP to the page.
