I wish Apple had either picked different color names or presented better pictures on their site; silver looks like pure white, but in hands on reviews, it looks like a bit duller & not much of what I expect to be silver. It's what I was leaning towards because I want I like the way its presented online, but I think the back of the phone being in-cased in glass distorts it a bit.
So, I'll probably go with the Space Grey. Not that it probably matters since I put a full cover on my phones.

My current 7 plus is black. Same with you, I put a cover.
I am thinking it doesn't matter. I might just go with silver to be different. I prefer a blood red, but no red x as usual.
I'd honestly go with silver since it has a black front.
i hate that prior silver iPhones always had white fronts. i dislike the white front.
agreed and that is exactly my thinking. I like the black front. Rear doesn't matter to me. So now that silver has black front, that is what I am leaning towards. Another hour and half...
Just ordered mine. 256Gb in Space Grey and decided to upgrade my data plan.
Payment doubled, but I'll probably do what someone else planned on doing in the last couple pages and pay off the full balance of the phone in a month or so. That should knock off $50/month afterward.

Same here.
Last night was the first time I've bought a silver iPhone.
The glass back makes it look better, and there's no white bezel to worry about, so why not. :-)
Here's a strange thing that worries me: I bought an LG V30 to play around with because it looked like it was going to be the hot Android device this year.
I'm finding that as brilliant as the device is, if I am doing something that causes me to hold onto it for a long time, I find it difficult to keep doing things that require precision for extended periods. The bezel less design seems to make it too easy to do something accidentally, and the glass back helps make it slippery, so that I'll do something inadvertently as the device slips in my hand.
It looks like the iPhone X might be around the same size, so I'm a little concerned about that.
Believe those Geekbench scores, though.
There are things that I do every day that can cause the LG V30 to get jittery and lose some responsiveness, while the old 7 Plus performs the same chores smoothly and quickly.
Even after turning off animations with Developer Options, the LG V30 doesn't perform as well managing memory intensive jobs as the iPhone 7 Plus was doing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm keeping the V30 to play around with Android. It's brilliant in a lot of ways, but it's not going to be the heavy hitting workhorse daily driver that the 7 Plus turned out to be, and which I hope the iPhone X will turn out to be.
